Strong, fast, great work rate, an eye for goal, and that Simeone mentality.

I can see why Poch would be interested.

If he has been outed as the 'nice' one, I can't see any harm with a cheeky bit of corroboration from someone itk.

Hopefully Diego puts in a good word for Poch, assuming they got along when they played together for the national team.

He looks very good actually, but I just don't really see how we can keep 3 pure #9s happy. It's not as if he offers something different to Janssen and Kane either. I mean he's not slow but he doesn't seem to have lightning pace. I think we are more in need of another Mane or Son type than another number 9, unless Janssen is off of course.

At the very minimum he looks to be different to Janssen & Kane - has more pace. He looks a good prospect - does come with a very good pedigree & background. The way he seem to hassle & work , would suit Poch system.

Transfermarkt profile shows he can also play RW. If true, that would be great to provide some versatility.

I can see Simeone battling it out with Janssen as first back up for Harry. If by Xmas, Simeone has got ahead of VJ, given it's a World Cup year, Janssen may look for a move.

Poch places huge emphasis on a player's mentality. If Simeone is constantly fighting for loose balls and pressing relentlessly as part of a pack, then he could become an invaluable part of our squad.

Ossie85 described him as a pure #9, and he looks that way from the clips. But if Simeone were to prove his effectiveness in our system, I can see Kane playing a little deeper on occasion.

It's a funny old game isn't it, two hours ago I had never heard of him and now I want him signed sealed and delivered ready for the start of the season. Come on Levy get the cheque book out!

All for the signing, I just hope that we get that quality on the wings too as that's more what we're lacking.

I think he is way more interesting than players people on here wouldn't mind paying 30M for. King, Gray, Mahrez, all that shit. Players like Simeone is the kind of stuff we should try to do. Players not all of us will have heard of, and who have as much of a chance making it wish us as names that are already widely known.

Looked at 4 to 5 youtube videos - most impressive thing about him seems to be his headed goals.

This is one of those rumours that feels right. Sometimes players are linked and they just don't fit. This is the opposite.

Agree, this has got blatant legs. I'm getting 'Giovanni 'Cholito' Simeone signs for Tottenham Hotspur' tattooed on my cock immediately.
