I just don't understand why he felt the need come out and deny rumours on the internet. Strange

I hope Harry stays. Got us playing the best football in my lifetime and we truly are a force again.
I can't help but think some of the anti-Redknapp brigade have behaved appallingly today. Have some respect for the man, surely he deserves at least that.

Harry's last stand: Levy showdown could see Redknapp leave Spurs

Tottenham boss will seek assurances he has board's full backing and may take a pay-off and go if he doesn't like the answer

Harry Redknapp's reign as Tottenham manager could be about to come to an abrupt end as he heads for crunch talks about his future.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will make it clear at the Wednesday meeting that a new contract will not be on offer, despite the north Londoners finishing fourth in the Premier League last season.
Levy is prepared to allow Redknapp to go into the final year of his current £3million-a-year deal, but it is understood the manager wants assurances he has the full support of the club’s hierarchy.
Unless that backing is forthcoming, then they may negotiate a pay-off, with preliminary discussions already taking place.
Everton manager David Moyes would be the No1 as replacement.

Twitter was awash with speculation on Tuesday night that the Spurs boss had already quit.
But Redknapp told ESPN: “No, I haven’t resigned , this is an outrage... for people to be putting around this rumour on the internet.”
Despite that statement, the situation has reached make or break for the 65-year-old, who was, to the surprise of many, overlooked for the England job last month in favour of Roy Hodgson.
Levy is prepared to leave Redknapp in no doubt that he can either like it or lump it over his contract.

The pair’s relationship has been tested during a turbulent few months.
Redknapp stalled on talks about a new deal in February because he wanted the England job.
That disappointed Levy, who then watched as Spurs’ form collapsed to the extent that they ended up missing out on finishing third in the Premier League and the Champions League place that goes with it.
That was a hammer blow for Tottenham, who now face a battle to keep stars Luka Modricand Gareth Bale at the club this summer.

Spurs eyed up Brendan Rodgers - who instead went from Swansea to Liverpool - when they thought Redknapp would beat Hodgson to the England post.
But now Moyes could be back on the agenda, while Wigan’s Roberto Martinez could be another option if Redknapp goes.

It'll be a sad day if he goes and one which I fear may set the club back several years. No one really knows what happened with the England thing but hand on heart, most on here know, to quote H, we have never had it this good (in recent memory anyway).

This all just seems very unlike Levy. He is a brilliant business man but everything he does is based on stability. Giving H a longer contract would bring exactly that.

If its the end, then thanks to Harry and in Levy we trust.

Boo Hoo. Respect us for what? Constantly moaning and wanting to have our most successful manager removed? Criticising some idiots complaining on the radio about our football which was voted by the other teams the best in the Premier League. If you are referring to him wanting the England job then he's guilty. Guilty of wanting to manage his country, and honour rarely bestowed upon any man.
People need to realise football is not about loyalty. Its a job for Redknapp. All he can be judged on is his results and they have been the best we have had for many years.
Respect is a two-way street. When we showed him respect during his court case he reacted by saying how much it meant to him to hear the fans singing his name. When we moan at him despite his success do you want him/expect him to go around kissing our arse?

So what's the fucking problem then?

£20 on each I think

Wonder if Levy's going to pull one of his overnight switches. Praying we'll wake up in the morning with a shiny new manager.

Very very sad news if true.A posting i had made a while ago seems particularly relevant.

As for the negative posters on here - there seems to be a remarkable anti- Harry brigade. This is the man who has us playing the best football we have played since the premier league began, he has us competing against teams that have spent hundreds of millions of pounds, he is the reason for players like VDV, Gallas, Kaboul, Adbayor playing for us and he is the reason for us beating Milan at the San Siro and Inter at the Lane The fact that he sounds like Del boy Trotter and this wheeler dealer image that the media has painted (for his transfer dealings with clubs with nearly empty coffers) has resulted in everyone branding him tactically naive. This is a man who has been successful with almost every club he has been at and has experienced working with some of the legends of English football.

So the good football we play is solely due to the manager and nothing to do with the fact that we had the 'players' to play good attacking football? I think the clubs investment in very good footballers enable the manager to field teams capable of playing good attacking football.
As most of us have little idea about how our club goes about with transfers and what is currently happening between Levy and Redknapp, let's not get hysterical just yet.

i've always thought our good football was down to key players in key positions.

take Modric/Vdv out of the side and that "good football" that Redknapp's "coached" us to play disappears.

take anyone out of Wenger's side or Rodgers' Swansea or even Martinez' Wigan and they still play the same way.

Fucking exactly.

If Levy thinks the time is right to make the change, I'm right behind him.

I'm with you on this too. The one constant in our transition from a club living on past glories to our state of optimism is Levy.

We should show him our support and trust that he will make the best decision for our club. If it means that Harry leaves then so be it.

So did Ramos...........and look what deep shite he left us in.

I hope that Harry get's the boot, then everyone can rejoice at going back into mid-table mediocracy. All will be at peace on SC.

How much for Frank De Boer? I think I might put £50 on him.
