Please wake up everyone... We got smash by a team who wanted to prove a point and keep their manager. It happens...

We finish 3rd in the league. That's a bloody fantastic achievement. Yes very disappointed on how we finished the race. But we got over the line. When the season started, if someone told me we were gonna end in the 3rd, I would wonder what are u smoking... Even mid way through, i expected the likes to man utd, city and Chelsea to wake up and we will be fighting for 4th. But we finish 3rd. No stress about what happens in Europe (not like city made the finals, if they do u know we are gonna get screwed again).

It's a memorable season, we finish ahead of Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool. We played a lot of good football... And had some crappy games... But that's life. We did well as a team. And I feel this lost would give the team a good learning experience.

Let's look forward to an exciting 2016/17 season. Back in top fight football.

Since the West Brom result, Euro 16 is all I've been thinking about to be honest! Right now I can't wait for it.
Our shenanigans over the last few weeks hasn't killed my desire for football right now, just my desire for Spurs. Fair play to them though in a way. I never thought they could surpass the lasagne gate season or the 'didn't buy in January' season under Harry. This lot have taken the next step! Surely this collapse can't be "bettered"?

This collapse can't be swept under the carpet. Alli and Dembele both missing the start next term could be a real issue, especially if we start with some difficult fixtures.

It's been an incredible season. Let's not forget how short we looked coming into the season, only one striker and no real defensive midfielder, we had to develop Dier for that. We have been overachieving without a doubt because the squad as a whole was kind of average looking in all honesty but everyone stepped up massively.

No doubt that it's ended disappointedly though and as a fan it's frustrating to not see the same effort applied throughout most of the seasons games to those last remaining games to secure a finish above Arsenal. It's put a dark shadow over a very bright season unfortunately.

Europa League - disappointing
All negative because of weakened sides being played at the time of going out.
League - Very good overall. Slightly skewed this season due to the bigger sides not performing but we showed the traditional nerves and subsequent collapse when it mattered.

Had the bigger sides performed as normal then today would have seen us miss out on 4th. Next season we will do well to finish top 4.

A month ago the boys had me convinced this was the start. I don't believe that's the case anymore.

Absolutely. We're beneficiary in the table of other sides' screwing up, not due to our own flat out dominance. Our point haul isn't that much better than it's been in the recent past when we've finished 5th, and we still cock it up too often against smaller sides.

Been saying it for years, this side badly needs more ruthlessness. Too many nice, shake your father's hand n call him sir fellas, not enough cold-hearted winners.

Top 4 i would have been happy so it's been a good season, with a disappointing last 4 games. I just hope this end doesn't go into the beginning of next season.

And we managed what we managed when 3 financially grand clubs had a bad season at the same time.

Yes, I think it has been a "good" season because we finished top 4, a longstanding goal for the club.
Achieving goals is "good".

But it has been far from "great".

Good, because the initial aim was achieved. But a failure in how they pissed it all away.

It shows we need another quality engine room midfielder as when Dier or Dembele don't play we are fucked.

Also another forward as we could have dropped Kane back into Ali's spot as an option.

Bad start to the PL season - 1 loss and 3 draws to start (3 points out of a possible 12 points)
Bad end to the PL Season - 2 losses and 2 draws to end (2 points fro a possible 12 points)

But a pretty damn good middle 30 games which has got us to our highest ever PL finish of 3rd and back in CL for only the 2nd time in our history (3rd counting European Cup), which is pretty momentous.

Think everyone would have been delighted with 4th before the season started (and probably wouldn't believe it possible after 4 games)......so 3rd exceeds expectation by a long way.

Cup competitions pretty uninteresting though.

......and anyone remember the meltdown at end of summer TW where we had one striker and no recognised DM.......relegation beckoned apparently.

Think overall this season has been both a very good one (versus our history) and one where we've developed a young team which should be a springboard for the future.
