Woeful attempted tackle by Hudd. Walker was just jogging alongside, having a look. Jan also let his man get goalside. Shite defending all round.

Apart from the negativity, I really feel like Siggy is starting to understand the role he's in.

I understand that he spoiled a couple (or maybe a few) great chances against Chelsea, but he's finally starting to get into those positions where he can be in the right spot at the right time.

To me, he's been playing head and shoulders above Dempsey right now, and he's only 22 so he's not only got age and upside in his favor, but also performance.

If we can get that position playing well and putting balls in the net at a respectable clip, we will be so much more dangerous. I honestly felt that if Siggy was in form against Chelsea, he'd have a hat trick as many of those chances he had (The shot he pulled wide, the shot that fell to him that was deflected, and the shot where he cut in but couldn't get it to the back post on the curl) were shots I feel he could totally finish with relative ease.

I love Siggy and I'm just not sold on Dempsey. I think Siggy has the ability to pick out those 'once in a while' passes while contributing goals or at least real big opportunities, but I just see Dempsey as a clumsy, bumbling player that can't figure out the role he's expected to play.

Also, Iago Falque should be commended. He was a spark that this squad needed today. It was as if players sought him out when he came on the pitch. Some of our best chances came through plays started/ended by him. He's still young and I really think he should have more of an opportunity to shine, as I think he could end up being a quality squad-depth type player for us. Something we desperately need.

I enjoyed the final whistle. Got home late so I watched most of the first half with the ability to fast forward. Didn't have that second half unfortunately.

Sigurdsson plays like a pacifist, no aggression at all. I don't see where he's starting to understand the role he's in. Apart from lucky goal strike he was waste of space last night. People complain about Hudd's lack of pace but Siggy has a pace of a snail. He and Dempsey are two big disappointments so far.
Could be huge scouting errors of judgement.

Or just cheap and cheerful, like a number of our signings.

I hope Siggy comes good, but at the moment u just can't see what he brings to the team. And I'm always gonna be confused about the signing if Clint. Moussa is great, but he needs others around him, he needs vdv or modric or Moutinho, and a better forward.
