Nice find razor - surely he must have been talking with someone there, which is positive news.

However i can't see it being Hulk, perhaps Oscar or Leandro.

So how does this work then? Any managers can just turn up to the hotel and start tapping up players?

Surely even if it is only a friendly chat these lads clubs won't be happy with our man being there and photos like this.

I do like avbs balls though. Theres obviously a player there he desperately wants

Just catching up whilst Hulk is over for the Olympics I would imagine. If Lloris is too expensive for us then Hulk is a non starter imho.

I doubt AVB has gone to the hotel just to catch up with someone. He's no doubt there talking with players and sounding out any that might want a move to Spurs, top manager!

Behind him are the two that signed with AVB, opposition scout and fitness guy. Talking to Sandro maybe?
Is that actually them? Genuine? You'd have to wonder why they are there? AVB popping over to say hello to a friend is one thing. Arriving with an entourage is quit another in my eye.

Hulk worries me. He is a beast of a player, but I really doubt his actual footballing ability. he has pace and power, but is that enough for a wet cold wintery night away to Stoke?

Funnily enough, Stoke have pace & power and no footballing ability and they play there all season :p

He's not a finesse player, but I think Stoke away would suit him down the ground, and the PL in general.

Isn't that contradictory? At Stoke you want someone who has pace and power don't you?

Hulk, the Brazilian Tony Yeboah

I'd be surprised if avb was there tapping him up. Probably catching up with sandro and I assume he has some pals there too so thought while they are in town why not

I can't imagine the Porto Chairman is going to be happy if he see's that pic.

I was just thinking the same. Presumably he would need permission to go and speak to any of the players about a move. I assume that as it's in such a public place and as AVB is actually smiling that we have been allowed to go and speak to someone at the hotel.

I know someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall reading here in the past that Hulk has a buy out clause of €80m in his contract. There is NO WAY we will be signing him.

Won't it be like ANY industry? You can meet old colleagues & friends, but you don't talk (do) business. Otherwise, I'd be banned from going out with my mates for a beer.

As others have said, he's probably gone to touch base with Sandro and took the opportunity to chat with an old player of his.

We arent signing Hulk people !!

Sorry, I threw the away at stoke line in their as a joke. It seems to be mentioned all the time when judging a players merits if they are linked with a move to the premier league.
I reallyhavent seen an awful lot of Hulk. Some gmaes for Porto over the years, and a small bit for Brazil. To me he lacks a footballing brain. But has fantasic strength and pace, with a bullet of a shot, but as a wide player, you need a bit more finesse, awareness.
Maybe I am wrong. Dont think we will sign him so no point me concerning myself to be honest.
He, along with most of those other Brazilians, will be overhyped because he is Brazilian. There is no way that the Brazilian Olympic team has 6 or 7 £25-£30m players.
Oscar, Ganso, Lucas Moura, Pato (who I'd much prefer to Hulk), Hulk, Damiao...... they simply cannot all be superstars.
