I'm not sure that someone will agree with you there Pinky.If we had been long ball specialists we'd of been going long every game to him countless times. Games like Inter at home, lives long in the memory...not one long ball to Crouch that night.
I remember a few though that came off...knocking one down for Defoe, who scored, against City when Hughes was in charge. By in large though it wasn't a regular theme to our play week in week out ten times a game, but a tactic we had available to us when we needed to mix it up a bit.
Not enough to be branded a long ball side, that's for sure.
Can you not remember BC running along the touchline every game with his trundle wheel? Yes I said Trundle wheel, I am a child of the '80's
