It always used to bug me when people spelt Zakora's name incorrectly.

I'm guilty of it but i'm such a bad speller. I find it really tricky remembering foreign names. The Zokora one though there's really no excuse. I mean it's a pretty simple name to remember.

I remember early on I used Roche instead of Rocha and I nearly got lynched. It was literally the first time I'd typed his name and he'd only signed like a week before. Bit much that.

Not footy related but lots of people type definately and that rubs me up the wrong way I've got to say. I was guilty of it myself though I'll admit. The weird thing is, who would ever type definate? I mean it just looks completely ridiculous.

I just think as long as you know what someone is trying to say, take a chill pill and move on. Not everybody has the same gifts, not everybody has the same education, however on here they are all Yids. Cut the less fortunate a bit of slack boys.

I have had enough. It is not Erikson, or Erikssen, or Eriksson, it is ERIKSEN. It is not Saldado, it is SOLDADO. For goodness sake it is not Norton, it is NAUGHTON. You support the club, the names are on the back of the shirts. How hard is it to spell the players' names right? :banghead::mad::banghead::mad::banghead::mad::banghead::mad::banghead:

This angers me so much. We do not have a player called Verthongen, or Kabul, or Loris. We do have players called Vertonghen, Kaboul, and Lloris.

For the love of mankind, would you please just spell them correctly?

Thanks xo

i share your pain dude, although I must admit after a late night out imbibing a few cold pilseners, a couple of whiskey chasers, a blueberry martini, a nature boy, a couple of southern comfort and coke's, a B52, a black ice and a few gin and tonics...I have been known to, er hic, press post on the odd 'Saldado' myself :D

BTW some of these drinks are girlie drinks and I am forced to partake by her indoors insisting I have one with her...that's my story anyway :p

It's a bit contagious as well, you read the names spelt wrongly in different forms, so often, that even though, when you type, you are sure you've got it correct there is this in-built doubt. Anyway, you could take the argument further and say that if English is your first language then some of the general spelling and grammar on this site is atrocious. To be honest that worries me more than the misspelling of a foreign surname.
