My only question is why would we need him unless the Vertonghen deal's gone tits up?
Also I believe Caulker is already twice the player, so again - why bother?!

Wtf? Why on earth would we need him?

Same applies to this guy as what I said in the Rob Green thread, if we do sign him then the person responsible should be sacked on the spot.

Fuck me to tears

find it ridiculous!.. we've got possibly the most promising young england english center back who having had a years premiership experience (with more or less rave reviews i might add) chomping at the bit to play for his parent club yet we go looking for a far inferior player who we need to pay money for.. doesn't sit right with me. (not knocking the itk just my honest thoughts)

Makes no sense for us, no sense for them and the price is laughable! Other than that it's very likely.

This would be simply a ludicrous signing if it were to happen, so hopefully it proves to be unfounded. We as others have said already have a player better at the club. If we are doing it simply to annoy the spammers and unsettle them a bit then great as long as we don't go through with it. :)

an average CB from West Ham to replace Ledley King, our best defender in eons. This one would be popular.

If people are going to take every item of ITK this seriously, it's going to be a very tiresome window indeed.

He'd only be behind Kaboul, Gallas, King, Dawson, Caulker, Bassong, Corluka filling in at CB, Huddlestone filling in at CB and Defoe filling in at CB if we signed him

Tomkins is a lot better CB then people are giving credit for.

I think he will actually turn out to be a very decent center half and has every chance of being a regular international. The guy wins a stupid amount of headers and has improved vastly on the floor. You watch how many he wins when attacking corners.

However, this will 100% not happen. I speak with James on a regular basis and he will 100% will be at WHU for next season, he just had a massive pay rise due to them being promoted. Plus he has formed a very good partnership with Winston Reid and playing week in week out. But he is certainly one to look out for in the future.

^ we already someone who has every chance of being a regular international, wins a stupid amount of headers, and has improved vastly on the floor, except they were doing it in the Premier League rather than the Championship, are 2 years younger, and will cost us not a penny but we haven't utilised yet.

First Green and now Tomkins. Who is choosing these targets. I bet it's Harry. Time to get in a DOF

Didn't say lets go out and sign him.. Just stating that the kid is decent IMO and people are giving blind opinions of him because he plays for the pikeys and automatically think he is average/shit.

As i already said I don't think we will sign him.
