SSN have now picked up the story. Looks promising...

It reads like it's been (badly) translated. So I guess originally it was in Dutch?
Actually a sorting out a stable set of CBs who are more likely to be fit for the majority of the season is a rather important requirement for us, and I would say is close to being as important as finding a long term GK solution, finding a couple of strikers and a goal scoring winger.
Especially as I can see Gallas and Nelson both leaving at the end of the season.
Kaboul, Dawson, Vertonghen and Caulker, would give us an exciting set of CBs to choose from, which I think we can all agree is exactly what you would expect of a set of CB for a club aiming to win things.
Get him in to form a CB partnership with Kaboul.
That way we could afford to loan out Caulker again and keep Dawson and Gallas as back up to those two (with King either on a pay as you play or retiring and Nelson being let go to the States)
If Caulker is ready to come back and play great, but what's better for his development at this stage? PL football week in week out for another year on loan or fighting for his place (and maybe being a bench warmer all year)
2 strikers, a Keeper and a winger and we would have a nice little squad in the making
Naughton brought back in to cover both full backs, if the winger we bring in is a worldy like Hazard then Lennon becomes the wing back up able to cover both flanks (and an excellent impact sub)
Adebayor either made full time or another striker capable of linking up play and holding the ball comes in, also a prolific striker to upgrade Defoe should come in. Defoe should be sold as he had a relatively good season and its probably our last chance to command a decent fee for him (Saha can stay as back up I suppose)
Interesting to see what happens with Pienaar, he's again proved his worth at Everton but still its hard to see where he fits with us
I wouldn't be surprised if Caulker was in the England squad for the Euros. He has been one of the top CB's in the league this season (right up there in tackles, headers, clean sheets etc.) and definitely one of the 5 best English CB's this year. I don't know why we would have any concern about him stepping up for us, he's played in a Premiership side that has faced more attacks than us and has done his job to the highest level. I am a big fan. Caulker would be a big upgrade on anything we have put next to Kaboul this season.
Basically thisI will remain cautiously optimistic!

You really think Woy is going to pick an (internationally) unproven player, albeit talented, Caulker over the main protagonists in Terry, Lescott, Smalling, Jones though?
The only reason to loan him would be to keep him playing having paid money for Vertonghen, otherwise why bring in Vertonghen?I wouldn't be surprised if Caulker was in the England squad for the Euros.
