I've genuinely run out of fucks to give now

Can't be bothered to moan anymore, so I thought I'd give being positive and optimistic a try ;)
I guess we're all ready for the end. Every time I go to get a little bit interested in a possible transfer, someone comes along and pisses on the fire and calls off the dogs and we're back to square one.

Ah, to be a Spurs fan at this time of year.

Christ on a bike, I'm sending my CV and medical records into Levy right now !

Only joking, of course, I couldn't face the constant ups and downs of the protracted contract negotiations...

Remember when people actually wanted us to sign him when we were linked to him while he was at Southampton. I didn’t even want him then, let alone now. Let’s hope it’s bullshit, except we all know this is probably one that isn’t.

I like Jay, and think he'd be great for us.

As has been mentioned, he's HG, Poch likes him, has been proved to flourish in a Poch team before, and our history shows that we seem to do better with these kind of signings.

He is homegrown, has played under Poch before and he is a better option to have off the bench than Llorente.

If our interest is genuine and he's not just an alternative signing to Martial or Zaha, then why not?
Surely the Martial/Zaha would replace Llorente though. This would take up an unnecessary spot in the squad.

He flourished for a Poch Southampton team hoping for 8th. With due respect, this Spurs side are a different beast and we shouldn’t be going near Jay (always liked him but just not for Spurs).

If we go from media links of Bailey, Pulisic, ITK links of Martial, Zaha to end up with Jay f-ing Rodriguez, I’ll, i’ll, i’ll..... well I wouldnt be surprised.

If we would have gotten him 2 seasons ago when we were linked we'd be looking for an upgrade over him him by now. So dumb.

You can't really apply that logic to it - that Southampton team had players who were barely 12 months into the Poch style of football. If Rodriguez didn't have pretty much 2 years out, he'd have been a £40m signing being quoted at £60m+ now. He was a fundamental part of that machine.

If theres anything the last couple of years has shown us is that these types of signings aren't working anymore. We're too good and these players aren't at the level of the rest of the squad and don't get enough playing time to integrate.
