i like that he is a striker who can play up top as well as out wide.

means he can play with Kane or in place of him, depending on the match.

Read that we had agree personal terms but not with Bournemouth so I think last week of window. Nothing for now... I think waste of time if they want 30M

Levy has told him he can't wear the #26, can't be having people reuse old kits.

Alli, Dembele, Wanyama, Vertonghen, Eriksen, Lloris, Gylfi....

Josh King is not the calibre we require, IMHO.

Were those genuine interests, as in contract offers stc.? I don't know - I'm just asking the question.

Missing my point...which is that I don't think Josh King would even been considered by any of the other teams, because he is not good enough.

I suppose he actually counts as home grown, since he arrived in the country when he was 16. However, he has really only had one decent season. I would prefer to keep Janssen another season and maybe revisit this next summer if King has another decent year. 30M is crazy at this point IMO.

King will be 50m next year if he has another good season.

Whenever I've seen him play I've thought that he really knows how to hassle defenders with his technique, speed and even power. It was just decision making and finishing that was lacking sometimes but now he seems to have stepped up his game quite a bit. 30m is definitely too much but if he where to come at somewhere 20 and 25m or less I personally wouldn't be against this signing.

Lol pretty sure you're just making it up. I don't recall anyone else being seriously linked with Wanyama, Lloris or Dembele.

Tell me some players you do think are of the required calibre.

I think people need to stop getting so hung up on the £30m figure.

Firstly that will be Bournemouth's opening gambit, so wouldn't be what we actually pay, and secondly, as others have said, £30m simply isn't as much as it used to be. Yes it's ridiculous but the sport is ridiculous so I think we need to get used to these sorts of figures.

In terms of the player himself, I think he looked excellent for Bournemouth last season, but it is a bit of a risk considering he hasn't been at that level for very long, and considering he's 25 so you wouldn't expect him to improve hugely.

I'd rather him than Sigurdsson, due to his versatility, but I would hope we have other options available.
