He isn't worth £30m but he would be a good rotation option and offers real pace and a threat in behind. 16 goals last season is not to be sniffed at.

We would be really crazy to spend that amount to rotate. Prob ends like Sissoko.

We should had spent 30M on Batshit last yr...

Would those positives you list not be worth the money then?
My thoughts on a player's.value is based on his value to us, if we want a player to make up numbers then ok its not worth paying a higher fee than any other old player but we want this player to effectively win us the title if, Kane is injured, so if we think he can do that pay the money if we think he can't don't buy him at all, I don't understand the idea of buying him if he's available for £15million.

Yup we should have outbid Chelsea, by the way it's looking like he's going out on loan this year.

Why?

He scored 5 goals in league last season compared to King who scored 16?

I'm pretty sure Conte played with midfielders up top like Hazard in false 9 position when Costa was unavailable at times.

Think I'd rather put the £30m + wages into the 'first team wages account' just in case we need to bump up any key players over the next 18 months. Much like fans I think the club are obsessed with transfers for transfers sake.

he would improve our attacking options off the bench, what's not to like about that! he is within our budget in terms of fee and wages so it also a very realistic transfer. I would much prefer sign someone who has played in the league than another foreigner that will take months or years to settle!

Hm, just seen that King is Norwegian. I presumed he was English. Weird.

He's certainly talented, but had that bad injury season before last. Not sure where that stands as we speak. He's 26 in January. Don't know how I feel about this.

He lined up all across the attacking positions for Bournemouth last year - left, right and centre attacking midfield, plus up front. He's reasonably fast and a good dribbler, and he scores goals. It's not the most glamorous of signings we'll ever make, but it might be shrewd - he could slot in basically anywhere in our attacking 4, so I imagine he'd get used a lot.

Not more bleeding vikings. It's bad enough having @ERO as a fan without having them on the pitch as well.

With Bournemouth signing Defoe I don't think they would hold out for £30M. If it happens I think it will be at around £18M and probably on deadline day. We are talking about a back-up/cup player albeit one who had a very good end to last season. They got him on a free and if we had been interested we could have probably bought him for £4M last summer.

Just looking at his goals last season he scored against 4 of the top 7 teams - Chelsea, Liverpool, United, Everton.

A better record than Lukaku against the top teams...
