It's almost reckless for someone with that much sway within a community to just drop his name like this without any tangible link to back it up - ITK is best when it is revealed at a stage where it can be corroborated, this has no links to anything, absolutely nothing at all - no different to me implying we're linked to a player
Reckless?

Like... up there with drink driving, unprotected sex, smoking whilst pregnant.. or did you mean something more serious?

No...just you know...the definition of the word reckless? What a bizarre reaction from a collection of adults to a bit of light hearted commentary on how fans become tribal, you're literally proving my point ?

Blimey, you couldn't have been around when we had the great Fernando Torres hoo-ha not to mention Arshavin business, which was like throwing a pork chop into a pond full of Piranha fish.

Now that you mention it the Arshavin has just come flooding back to me, it's like a massive natural disaster, they only come around so often I guess ?

Jude Bellingham is on SSN right now doing one of those “most…(eg funny/ hardest trainers/skilful) in the dressing room” style interviews. Probably trying to promote himself to get a dream move to the mighty spurs tbh. Desperate, some might say wreckless, stuff from the lad.

ITK is best when it's a player not already linked surely? That's what makes ITK different. Some great deals have come out from ITK where the media hasnt picked it up.

The last sentence is commical. You're not ITK

Imagine having a midfield to choose from of Bissouma, Bentancur, Bellingham, Hojbjerg, Skipp and Saar.....wow. A far cry from starting the CL final with a midfield pairing of Winks and Sissoko.

Proper Fifa/ FM territory I know but that is genuinely unreal.

If we sell the players we can and get Zaniolo on loan with an obligation or option (even though I can't see Roma doing that personally) then potentially we could at least try for Bellingham? It would leave us short for any potential CB targets though.

I guess we see ITK in different ways, I love how the guys in the know reinforce tenuous links to really make me believe a transfer is happening, and on the flip side when an ITK is a known slam dunk and they come out with a random name such as JJ back in the day then the hype instantly goes through the roof. Every ITK is different and I feel grateful for the information, but without delving into unnecessary territory, if an ITK that isn't really known for "slam dunking" shall we say delivers a bombshell, it just feels a bit too farfetched I guess? I think that's fair, doesn't mean it isn't happening or anything of the sort but sometimes its knowing when to release info into the world when you're in a position of privilege that is more important than knowing it, that's all :)

Thing is if your are an ITK you want to be the first to break something. The trouble is transfers are never simple. If Daniel Levy came out and said he wants to sign a player it still could fall through (probably would if he was involved :cautious: ). I personally like these links that come out of nowhere, even if it's from only 1 source. It's a.bit easier now that we've made our primary signings as well. Getting the main deals done allows us to dream about this type of transfer later in the window without worrying about lack of activity (Leicester).

Liverpool have been trying hard for Bellingham since last summer. BVB won’t even think about selling, his current contract runs until 2025 so they have no reason to.

On a side note, I guess if we are really considering spending that sort of money on another CM then we must be contemplating switching to a 352 at least some of the time.

He’s a good player who I’d have really liked but since we’ve gotten Bissouma I can’t see the point in this.

We also have Skipp, PEH and Bentancur as well as Sarr so we should be looking to strength other areas.

I'd say the difference here is that nobody has said: "We're signing Bellingham."

The exact quote was: "we have interest in Jude Bellingham But will be a massive deal in 80-90 million range , the 4 will have to go with decent fees for all plus tanganga etc To fund it"

There is nothing earth-shattering in that quote - loads of teams probably have interest in Bellingham. There is nothing in there to suggest we are actively pursuing the deal, let alone close.

So, I guess I don't see this news as "bombshell".

Don't think Dragon said we are targeting him this window. That statement was more long term interest and probably replying to someone asking about Bellingham

Nobody had been talking about Bellingham before Dragon mentioned him. People don’t ask questions of him on there, he just turns up some nights and drops info bombs.

I know we all like to dream. It’s fun. It’s what keeps us going in the lull. But the key thing here is the reference to needing to sell our players for decent amounts. With the best will in the world this is tough in itself especially with N’Dombele being found out by ppl and no one wanting to deal with it. Let alone achieving this feat then negotiating for a sort after lad who is probably being lined up for another German club or one of the big boys.
