I remember a few seasons back the club were doing lots of screenings on the Jumbotron at WHL on a Saturday afternoon when we were playing away 3pm kickoff. What happend to that ?? There was usually quite a decent turnout for a screening - maybe they could bring it back for the Semi Final ??

Only did that once, and it was very weird. The crowd still sing, cheer and moan, and I kept looking to where the subs normally warm up whenever they were on screen. :)

I liked those days, better than any poxy stream - I can never find a stream that works properly anyway. For those that live close enough to the Lane it was a good option. Wonder whether it was stopped due to a rights issue or the cost of purchasing rights? Not sure the club ever made huge amounts of money.

Is it my imagination or was it just cup games that got shown?

EDIT: Actually the Jumbotron I can view, South, is lookin pretty ropey these days from my angle in the East Upper. Bet it won't be sorted now before the new stand, not sure that I would pay for that view.

I've found a working stream every game we've played this season.

Used to love going to those screenings, took a few non-Spurs supporting mates to a few and they enjoyed it too. The atmosphere was always good, if not a bit weird singing at a screen.

No, not just cup games. The one I went to was a league game when we were in danger of relegation, and I just HAD to watch the game!
The North Jumbotron isn't great either, but they won't change them now, I'm sure!

Do us a favour then buddy and PM me a few hints and tips - all I get are moody sites upping their clicks.
Maybe the chat room on match days would be a good place for Durrrr. :)

I'm pretty sure it was something to do with the renegotiation of Sky's contract with the EPL.

Used to like working on the turnstiles at WHL when we did Spurs v Gooner screenings as my stand never opened so got to wander around WHL until the match started, had free viewing of the jumbo screen and got paid! :-D

We never won though... :-(
