Just realised quite how strong our squad is!

Never have I laid out our squad on paper and thought how few areas we are weak/need a new player in. Could be quite an easy summer with few players in for once and if that were the case I'd really be quite pleased:

Looking at that I think all we need is a GK to replace Carlo if he's fucked and if possible use all our money to get a WORLD-CLASS STRIKER to partner Defoe. I think Pav and Defoe is a good enough combo to play in the CL but Harry insists on Crouch who although I don't think is shite I don't think he should be a starter for us,great impact sub but thats it so:

So refreshing to see we barely need any players and can just give this current squad more time to gel and improve,we have a fair few youngsters but still have a few experienced heads about the place too great combo COYS!

Have I over-rated the squad? Do you think we need to improve in more areas than I have mentioned or is it as good as I think when everyone is fit we have some team!

Shouldnt need to spend that much for a keeper-Peterborough have just gone down, so 1-2 million max should get Joe Lewis easily

Yep-pace and a bit of real guile in midfield as well as a top, top hold up man would turn a good squad into one that could genuinely challenge next season

I agree with most comments here. Maybe a back up GK, agree with Joe Lewis being mentioned... a striker (Edin Dzeko would be lovely!) - and we won't be far off having what we need.

Looks like the likes of O'Hara, GDS, Taarabt, Jenas might be shipped out in the summer so we should have a bit of cash to play with.

It's actually quite exciting looking at that, knowing we're so, so close to having what we need! Compare it to the Sky 3/4 and it's not far off what they've got. All the difference is currently they have players who win them tight, crucial games against the lower teams. Wayne Rooney, Drogba, Lampard, Fabregas, van Persie... if we could add one player of that standing and Aaron Lennon stays fit I think we're 99% there.
