I seriously cannot see this ever being a possibility. For starters we wouldn't pay his wages. Not a chance Levy would pay that kind of wage for a 31 year old, even for just a year.

Secondly, I don't think he'd ever want to come to us.

Thirdly, although I don't think he's a completely spent force, I do think he's well past his best. To come to a very physically demanding Premier League at the age of 31, when you've had injury problems and are not the physical specimen you used to be, is going to be a big ask. I don't think it'd work out for him.

Some players, no matter how quality they are, just won't suit every league in the world. They could do well and cope with it admirably, but they won't be as "world class" as they have been elsewhere.

David's was a tenacious player and a leader. Kaka is a flair player, capable of the outrageous, but equally capable of going missing. They are not comparable.

Ok well go have a look at his career achievements at club / international / individual level and try and say that his experience is not comparable.

Whether your onions in here are right or wrong its bloody hilarious that there are people here that are saying no to Kaka.

People outside this forum would think its some kind of mental asylum

That is becaue we are building a young and exciting team and Kaka is far beyond his prime. Wages would be high and it would only be something to replace Bale, a super star player. Not exactly what AVB and Baldini are after. The special player if brought with Bales money if true, would have to be young and worldie...

Only way I would spend that money, buy all rights should be put to building the stadium.

Would not be happy if we signed him.

It is not about achievements, it is about what they directly bring to a side. David's was a leader and his game wasn't based on being a flair player, Kaka is a flair player and has always relied on his skills and reactions which will be diminishing. He also no longer has a turn of pace which served him well in the past.

His wages are crazy.

Real Madrid would love to offload him, - I don't want to give them the satisfaction.

Poor old KaKa, written off by so many at the age of 31. David Villa got a lot more respect from us and is the same age. Shame.

Kaka is still a class act despite the injuries and other difficulties he's had at RM.

If he gets his next move right, i.e. it's purely a footballing decision, people will soon realise how graceful and effective a footballer he can still be. Best number 10 since Zidane.

I was beginning to think we'd go the whole window without the obligatory Kaka link.

In previous windows my standard response has been "if there is a chance of signing Kafka (even if just on loan) you don't turn it down."

Not sure now. With the team we've built I can't see where he would fit in. I think I'd still say yes, but he'd have to earn his place. In a strange way I'd love to see us sticking a player like Kafka on the bench simply because the competition is too good. Maybe wheel him out for a 3rd round FA cup kick about with Colchester :D

If he's available, and if he'll come on loan with reasonable wages and without guaranteed game time, we'll take him in a heartbeat. If he's good enough he'll play, if he isn't he won't, but what he will do is dramatically increase the number of people who care who the fuck Tottenham Hotspur is. People all over the world love Kaka. We are currently looking to make some gigantic commercial deals with stadium sponsorship, etc., and since we are losing Bale, Kaka would be a massive bonus for the commercial value of the club. If a company can use Kaka as their marketing in the Americas and Asia, it makes a deal with us much more attractive than Lewis Holtby or Vlad the Impaler.

I've officially disappeared down the rabbit hole. Next up: Why I think Jorge Luis Borges would make an excellent trequartista....

He has primarily been benched by Ozil and Modric as they were Mourinho's signings. Kaka has been injury free for over a year with only small niggles here and there, but nothing that kept him out for any extended period.

At 31 with the amount of skill he possesses he can easily perform for another 2-3 years even in the EPL, because if Frank Lampard at 35 and Steven Gerrard at 33 manage to perform phenomenally in the EPL I see absolutely no reason why Kaka can't dominate and anyone that doesn't believe he can still do it looking up a 15 minute video of Kaka from last season he still glides past people with such elegance.

Personally i think KaKa is still class but im very sure he would not be a real Spurs target:-

1. He is on huge wage

2. He is much older and slower now. He is 31 now. Do you see him fitting into AVB plans of moving the ball up fast?

3. Both of the above as it would be difficult to move him on in future. Cannot realistically see a loan for him too.....
Both on footballing and business sense.

RT"@Milanello: Kakà is willing to lower his wages to €5m per year in order to join Milan. He earns €10m at Real Madrid. [GdS]
