I could very easily see de Boer ending up at Barca. He's from that lineage, he plays that way, even that formation. Those two entities are inextricably linked.

Maybe one day but not anytime soon. Luis Enrique is going there now and then it will between him and Martinez

Messi insists on playing there? I think you might be right.
Its been said for a while one of the reasons pep left was because he felt Messi was untouchable i.e. he didnt want to play on the right, he wanted to play upfront instead of Ibrahimovic.

The first season under tito he was playing there and the team performance went downhill but Messi broke alot of records and everybody was loving the messi show that no one really minded but the barca team has suffered from a consequence

I've not seen any TV replays, was the second Barca goal offside ?

I'm pleased for Atletico. Their football isn't always a joy to watch but they have a great work ethic and they can play a bit when they want. Creatively they don't do anything out of the ordinary, but they are a lesson in coaching, application and cohesion. What you do without the ball etc.

It clearly meant so much more to them than it did or would to Barca.

What I don't really get is how Real managed to fuck themselves out of the race.

They dropped points resting players last week but they need barca to win today only then would they won the title.

They lost the race when they couldn't score a winner against real valladolid, who needed a point to get try and beat relegation.

Here's the funny thing-it was being suggested in the Sky studio that the ball deflected off an Atletico player just before Messi (who'd been a yard offside) stuck it away.

With a quoted capacity of 99,000 what reason have Barcalona given for allocating only 447 tickets to Atletico Madrid supporters at last night's game? Was that a deliberate ploy to restrict Atletico support to help Barca's chances or is that normal and if so why and could they not extend it for such an important game?
Got to say that this is absolutely enormous, for Atletico to take the title when so much effort and administration is put into restricting it to Real and Barca is twice the achievement.

I can't say i always enjoy watching atletico but I think their achievement is the most incredible of any of the major European leagues for a good few years. In the last decade or so only Wolfsburg's bundesliga occurs to me as a rival. ?

Why do you think his performances have dipped? Was it his new contract negotiations?

Well there could be a number of reasons, Barca were never going to reach the heights of the Guardiola regime for one which IMO catered towards a more team ethic which meant there wasn't that much pressure on him to score and be the difference maker.

They're also way too predictable when they play now, literally all their attacks are catered towards Messi which makes it easier to defend against and easier to shut him down.

He's also coming back from a mid term spell in the sidelines due to injury and he's probably suffering from a bit of mental and physical burn out.

I wouldn't mind having that Sanchez bloke here. The way he was able to keep the ball when being pressed by two Barcelona players blew the socks off of me. I actually mistook him for Messi a couple of times.

On a more frivolous note, Barcelona need a new team barber. WTF is going on with Pique and Messi's barnets? Pique looks like he has a dead otter on top of his head.
