They are pretty well run but aren't their wages to turnover ratios pretty shocking?

(yes, I know I could probably Google this and find the answer myself but I'm currently on anti-biotics and drinking, so can't be bothered! ?).

2018/19 season:

Haven't found anything more recent but given since 18/19 Leicester have had two high league finishes, cup success, qualified for European football, sold Chilwell and Maguire and got rid of a fair bit of deadwood I'd imagine their wages to revenue ratio is looking a bit healthier now.

Everton's the club in real danger as they have virtually nothing to show for their increased spending.

Brenda will be very lucky to see the week out. Their defence is hopeless.
It’s not his fault though. They lose their best CB due to finances. Brendan can’t work miracles and is very limited. I still think Leicester have a very good attacking threat and will beat the lower teams. They would be absolutely crazy to sack him.

Their keeper looks very ropey. Selling Schmiechel is looking like a huge error of judgement.

International break is normally a dangerous time so there will be a cold wind around Brendan this week.
Never liked him, and his smug attitude, but I was impressed with how they tried to play football yesterday, and at times they made us look second best in midfield. Made a change from the usual clogging and time wasting we get from most visiting teams.

Schmeichel was very clearly on the way down last season, not as reliable as previously. The big mistake was trusting Ward as number one and not bringing in a new face.

IMO, it seems that Fofana leaving has a greater effect to Leicester than his arrival could bring to chelscum.

Echoes of what happened to us under Poch. Built a good team but reached their ceiling and haven't recruited well enough to keep the momentum going. Key players sold or getting old and with a summer of basically signing no one any momentum or feel good factor around the place has completely vanished and they look further away then ever. Like us at the end of Poch, they need a massive rebuild but I'm not sure the manager has the stomach for it anymore and this only ends up going one way IMO.

I mean they need to change something though. Now obviously Leicester's problems are not down to Rodgers but it's hard to see how Rodgers can work a solution, they also should stay up with the players they have.

Tbh Rodgers should have walked in the summer, it was clear that it was going to be an impossible job.

I doubt that was down to the manager though. Given their financial issues they probably just thought they could get away without spending on another new player.

Managers and especially Brenda won’t walk away from any job. They’ll just wait for the sack and walk away with the rest of the money on their contract and then in this case will claim that they were fighting with one hand tied behind his back even though the front 5 players they put out on Saturday should be enough to win most football matches.

Yeah reading between the lines it really seems like Brendan is fishing for the sack. He's on something like 10m a year until 2025 so the payout will be monstrous and he knows it. Ironically that contract is exactly the reason Leicester haven't sacked him yet.

Might be one the very rare cases where a manager stays at a club despite both the manager and the club wanting him gone, simply because they can't afford to pay him off.

Leicester have had a rotten fixture run to start the season and after the break they have maybe the easiest run of any team in the league. Despite their terrible start, I think Rodgers is bound to pick up a few results and improve them and keep them up if they do persist with him. He seriously needs to drop Ward and do something about that defence, though.

Brenda's real problem is keeping the players onside. I had the impression towards the end of the game against us several more or less gave up. Most likely I am wrong but if I am right and the poor results continue they will have no choice but to sack him.

Yeah something seems off, but Maddison was very vocal in his support for him. Could be a case of the players needing a fresh start rather than actively downing tools. It was like that with Poch towards the end as the players clearly still loved him but the methods weren't working anymore.

100%. I can't remember the last time a manager so clearly looked and sounded like he wanted the sack. He definitely has had enough and wants out. His post match interviews, he's just going through the motions. "Onto the next game", "we will get a win eventually", "boy are playing well they just need a bit of luck". You can tell the energy has gone from his demeanor. I think he knows the players need a new voice, the same as what happened with us and Poch. You either get rid of a load of players and go through a rebuild or you get rid of the manager. The problem for Leicester is they don't have the money for a rebuild, and Rodgers will also be an expensive sacking too. It's crazy how quickly it changes in football, they looked like a perfect example of how to run a club a couple of years ago, astute signings for decent money, excellent football style. Their recent signings seem to have been really poor though. It shows how fickle football is, you are always just a few signings either good from improving or bad, from falling away. We signed Kulu, Bentancur, Romero and flourished, they signed Daka, Soumare etc
