They are never affected with having CL or not. Leicester will bank roll on players if they got into CL and could be an annoying force to reckon with. So rather they got left out.

Players aren’t really attracted to clubs in CL football - it’s mostly money and a little bit trophies. They cite CL football as an excuse to chase a bigger paycheck. Utd and Chelsea were always going to throw money around this summer (as already demonstrated by Chelsea in their recent spending) - today’s results haven’t affected their transfer plans or power one bit. They have however hurt Leicester’s and it will be a tough psychological blow for some of those Leicester players.

He's just not as good a coach as people think.

Was sacked at Reading for only having a plan A, benefited massively from Paulo Sousa's set up at Swansea, had one special season, sandwiched between two very unispiring ones at Liverpool, won stuff at Celtic (but who wouldn't) and had a good few months at Leicester.

That second Liverpool season was largely done by working on the skills and chemistry of Coutinho, Sturridge, Sterling and Suarez, who had one of the best seasons an individual has ever had in the PL. Yet totally ignoring the defensive side. He basically just went out all attack (conceding 3 goals against Palace, Norwich and Cardiff). Losing the title to one of the worst City teams in this era.

He's got a plan A that he sticks too, he's good at building positivity in the younger players but when that energy dies down he really struggles to change things and try to get his teams out of the rut.

I hope we don't go anywhere near him.

Usually I'd agree that injuries are part and parcel of the game and affect everyone, but this season is a bit different. There's no denying that certain teams, ourselves included, have greatly benefited from the break due to Covid. United were one of those teams as Pogba and Rashford both had time to recover and their team has looked a lot better with them in it. There's also the differing squad depths to cope with multiple games in such a short space of time. I just think they've been one the clubs most affected by the crisis so it's a bit too easy for people to just say that they've bottled it.

We get accused of bottling a title race we were never in the lead of yet we're gonna excuse Leicester of throwing away a 14 point lead and put it down to injuries...okay.

It's one thing having a giggle at Leicester's expense (perfectly reasonable!), but it just frustrates me to think that if we were a little bit closer to the chasing pack we could have taken advantage ourselves and sneaked into the top 4. I don't take anywhere as much joy from Chelsea and United being the ones who overtook them, as I dislike those teams just as much if not more.
