It's interesting to see what other fans feel about their team. BUT there were a whole bunch of idiots on this site last night. Other clubs could easily make a thread about how fickle Spurs fans are.

All fans are fickle, it's just a media favourite to say Spurs fans are fickle.

funny enough even though liverpool are suppose to be skint they have spent £20million and kept their best players, whereas we got rid of two of our best 3 players and made £15million

That said I absolutely love our signings and I would have ours signings over theres every day of the week, if we signed Moutinho just what have might of been(but thats for another thread)

Yesil does like he will be a triffic player

Liverpool's midfield of Allen, Gerrard and Sahin compares favourably to ours.

Will it compare favourably to Sadnro/Parker/Dembele?
How much have you seen of Sahin in the EPL?
None, but if Sahin lives up to the hype, then he'll be an importantly player for them, Allen was excellent last week. Sandro/Parker/Dembele I think is stronger defensively Liverpool's midfield is potentially more creative.

Yeah, I just don't like taking things on hype.
I agree, they would have more creativity. Hopefully, though, Dembele can create and link up well with Dempsey.

Signing Moutinho would have given us a clear edge in midfield over either Arsenal or Liverpool. I'd like to think we could get him in Jan but I don't see that happening, we may well look back on this as the one that got away for a long time.

We'll have to wait and see.
Apparently, a fee and terms were agreed, and it was just too late to push through - and Moutinho clearly wants to play in the EPL and to play for AVB, so, hopefully, either a deal was struck to complete the transfer in Jan, or Mouts will push for it himself.

I live in hope :)

Gerrard is past his best, everyone can see that, far too many mistakes from him now and he will pick up an injury soon no doubt. Joe pass it back to goalkeeper 91% Allen isn't a world beater either, he is a solid signing and nothing more. As for Sahin, he's practically had a season doing nothing for Madrid, this will be a big season for him to see if he can perform to the levels that attracted Real Madrid to him.

As for up top, other than Suarez they look incredibly average. Oh and defence, why do people bang on about them being amazing? Arsenal have passed through them two or three times this half and City did exactly the same, I think they are the most overrated defence in the league.

We will finish above Liverpool this season I am confident of that. Arsenal though is another matter, one injury to Podolski and I can't see where the goals will come from? Giroud looks incredibly average and they've offloaded four strikers in the summer? I guess they see Walcott as the third choice striker? Or Gervinho?

And to think Levy realllly wanted Rodgers as our manager... shows how much he knows!

It does not follow either that Rodgers is a poor manager (he may be a good manager with teething problems), or that he would be poor, or have a poor start, if he had joined Spurs.

I couldn't take Arsenal winning today, so I bet on them to win with Cazorla to score, at 25/1 with 20 quid on it o_O

Fucks, but I am 500 quid better off there abouts, even though its dirty money.

Liverpool looked fucking terrible.

I agree regarding the Liverpool one. They could finish above us this year. They are behind us currently but have harder fixtures and should have beat City last week.

West Ham? I find us laughing at them is always a fallback option when things aren't going to plan. Can't pick at Chelsea or Arsenal? Go back to the safe bet that is West Ham! We always know that no matter what happens this season we will finish way ahead of them, we always do. Indicative of whats going on right now. We should be focusing on our real rivals, Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.

The good thing about west ham is they have nothing too loose...this makes them dangerous.

You mean Sullivan and Gold managed to flog the last consignment of double-ended claret and blue Spammer-cocks?
