some of the things said here are baffling. let's all get one thing out in the open. we're spurs fans. that means we all choose to support Tottenham Hotspur FC. those of you who see some bad results and ask yourselves why you're supporting such a club need to be reminded that you are very much at liberty to stop supporting this club i.e. no one's holding a gun to your head telling you to support spurs. when you start a thread like "let's all laugh at tottenham" what kind of message are you sending? that you're pissed that we lost a game? that we played shitty? so what this is part and parcel of being a fan. negativity is not going to make anything easier. unless you've got AVB or daniel levy's ear what more can you do except be a supportive fan. that's if you want to of course. remember no-one's being held at gunpoint.

Fuck sake, so we had a few shit results.
Big deal.
We're still 4th, and above Arsenal.
And in the 1/4 Final of the UEFA Cup.
To be honest I'd rather WIN the UEFA Cup than take 4th, it's an Honour - no Honours come with 4th - look at Arsenal's last 8 years.
4th Place is a Bonus. However I have no doubt we will get either 3rd or 4th anyway.

So the naysayers, chill out, and hang on.

It's the Europa League, not the UEFA Cup. That ended several years ago, when the top 4 in the major leagues qualified for entry to the Champions League.

That's the problem with forums. Some fans are quick to sound off without thinking and display massive see-sawing of emotions from one extreme to the other. One minute they're giving it and the next they're turning on the team because they haven't exceeded expectations. I can only think it is down to a lack of brain cells.

I wish there was some sort of filter which prevented people sounding off about us or any other team if they have a history of spouting off like a knob without ever being objective. However even a bit of self consideration would be nice. Before they press the post button they should really think about how they conduct themselves as a fan and whether they have earned the right to criticise.

Mods - does such a filter exist? (other than a wooden bat with a nail in it).

I don't know how some do it, I really don't. Surely it takes away from the feeling when we play well or pull off a great result. If you're constantly slagging and then we do something great - do those people not feel a little two faced, it would feel wrong to me.

Support the team FFS.

This was on level with that Wigan match where there really wasn't much of a redeeming value in all of it (Well, Carroll at least was adventurous and positive).

They only get tougher from here on out. I'm thanking God that this international break is here and I really never thought I'd think that.

Misery loves company Mr Pink, and boy do they let us know it.

The comments that get me are 'I pay my money so I'm entitled to moan and criticise.'

My answer to that is that you paid your money to the CLUB, so go and bend their ears with the whining. I dodn't receive none of that money so why do I, or anyone else on the forum, have to be subjected to the pre adolescent mewlings that saturate this place after every loss and often after every win!

Send the club an e mail, write the knee jerking crap to them as it's the club that they have the issue with, leave the forum for discussion, not bile.

This is the biggest test of the season now. All well and good having momentum and talking about our side being great but all good teams hit a bad spell and the great ones recover. We now have to show that we have enough balls to dig deep and find some form again.

Trick is, is not to build yourself or the team up. Wait untill the end of the season. Kinda thought most would of switched onto that by now.

False statement by you my man, it was STILL called the UEFA cup until only a few years ago.

As it was 2009 it depends on your quantification of several and few. Essentially though, once the top 3 or 4 from the major leagues were going into the CL, it wasn't the same competition
