In the end, not sure who is happier with the draw. Three of the goals (in my opinion) were directly related to either a blatant error (VVD kicking Lamela, Dier playing Salah in on goal) or some real clumsy defending (no one being able to put in a real challenge on Salah).

First half we were clearly second best just about everywhere. In the 2nd half half, it felt like we had acres of space and really should have put some better shots on target in open play. I'm really glad Oxlade-Chamberlain came on because he basically gifted us possession every time it came to him. Wanyama's goal is something I'll never forget. Reminded me a bit of that Martina goal from a couple seasons back.

Edit: After watching Wanyama's goal again, despite the weak attempt at a clearance by Can, you can't completely fault him. Thought it looked much worse at the time.

Pundits saying lamela looking for the pen. I think he is trying to get in between to shoot or attack and gets kicked. Pen all day

He recognises the situation, he's definitely looking for the penalty.

He timed his movements well because the defender didn't see him.

He made the most of it but it's a clear penalty..

Is anyone else struggling to understand Lloris decision to fly out his goal and head it off for a throw in just before they get the second. When it was clearly going for a goal kick and such a poor decision, no Liverpool player was ever getting that. Really disappointing a GK with his experience would make such a mistake so late in the game. Poor.

Lloris has always been suspect in big away games.

Everyone might reasonably have thought that Kane was offside for the first penalty. It was only well after the final whistle that we found out what the big debate was about: Lovren touched the ball on the way through to Kane, playing him onside.

Ah, that's what the lino was explaining tot he ref then.

I'm still trying to catch up with this thread only on p98 - some of the crazy and downright manic posts
are a terrible indictment of how people react badly.

Some might want to revisit what they stated and have a reconsider.

TBH, I have no idea what's with the issue of posters here having a melt down and cursing Kane when he missed the pen. He could have won us the match but put it poorly. He's truly bad at that point.

If we didn't get the second pen and equalise, and went on to lose the game, there will be no witch-hunting for bottler-callers. In that case those legends-callers cannot be proven wrong; nobody knows the future outcome.

It can get so agenda-driven here for some it is actually quite ridiculous.

OK I get it now. I'm just off to the back garden, there's a wall out there that desperately needs to have a conversation.

i get your point your saying you cant be legends one min and then not the next, but what im saying is, yes they proved me wrong but DESPITE us scoring that equaliser, we cant ignore the reason why we got into the situation of needing a late equaliser, that needs to be addressed

right now everyone is on a high because of that late equaliser, but it could have been so much better and could prove vital come the end of the season, always have to look at ways to improve

I don't think you can blame people for their reactions in the heat of the moment during this particular game. It was an emotional rollacoaster.
