He did, the one where we were breaking and he picked the wrong pass to son I think was one that stood out. But overall, I thought he was one of the brightest players in the second half. It’s a lack of confidence/consistent minutes. As we know, at his best, his passing and decision making is usually spot on and one of his best attributes. It’s tough to get going with inconsistent minutes, it’s the only downside of having a great squad.Thought Bergwijn made some poor decisions when he came on
Bergwijn again not quite bringing it.
When you are not getting much game time you cannot be sharp. Bergwijn and Vicinius stand out in this respect.Nothing came off for vini, though it wasn’t for the lack of trying. Stevie likewise looked like he had a point to prove, and I thought a lot actually came off for him. Unlucky not to score. It’s the case of the chicken and the egg. What comes first? Is it lack of confidence and form that leads to a player dropping down the pecking order, or does the lack of playing time perpetuate the lack of form and confidence. Probs a bit of both, but it’s tough playing 45 minutes a week against nothing teams in Bulgaria. I’m glad they looked motivated, there’s no doubting their ability, especially Stevie.
They’ll be much saltier when Ward-Prowse leaves next summer to either: Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool and maybe even us. Looks like he is starting to outgrow the club. Has been very good the past two seasons. Can definitely see him at Liverpool.Saints fans are honestly the saltiest set of fans ever when it comes to their players wanting to leave. Hojbjerg is rubbish on the ball and can’t pass? Fucking idiots. Unbelievable player.
Looks to me like he’s trying too hard to impress
He thought Stevie was going to shoot not pass/crossahhhh you gotta be ready there vinni
