The OP's idea if actioned by our fans would make absolute fools of us in the eyes of all football people everywhere.

What a fantastic, cogent response. I'll have to remember this the next time I find myself struggling to justify something I've said (y)

I've already justified what I said. I get it, you think it's perfectly reasonable to proclaim somebody a failure, even though they've not had a single thing to do with out club yet. Fair play, I feel the complete opposite. As for the unacceptable response (the picture one), it was nothing more than a blatant attempt to ensure that there is not yet another unnecessary slanging match on the site. If you've got more to say, do it via PM, as that will stop the site from being spoilt by unnecessary arguing. It really is that simple.

We could try "Not Tim Sherwood's blue and white army", but what if Levy doesn't hear the "not"?

That's amazing, it fits perfectly!

As for chanting another manager's name, I think that would show an incredible lack of class. Tim may be a dead man walking, most of us may not want him in charge, but we'd look like a massive bunch of classless ****s if we started chanting the name of someone else, someone we may not get, and someone who may have no interest in us.

Proper small-time I think.

It's a public forum, and we're discussing the issue of support, so it's perfectly on topic as far as I'm concerned.

You said...

I've seen 'supporters' talking about Pochettino, and stating "If we sign Pochettino we will be back to midtable football", along with "Pochettino will be a massive mistake" and others along the same line.

At no point do you mention people proclaiming Pochettino to be a failure. You've highlighted a couple of cases where people have raised their concerns that he would be a failure. You dismiss those that are speculating on his potential success or failure as mere 'supporters', as if to suggest that anyone questioning him is not a real supporter (in the same way as me telling a colleague "oh yeah Dan phoned in today. He's off 'sick'.) Which I disagree with as, to use your own words, "they've not had a single thing to do with our club yet".

It just seems daft to me. So people aren't real supporters because they question how successful Pochettino might be? That doesn't make any sense, and you know it.

Whoever is in charge next season, I hope they get the full support from the fans. Until then, I don't see anything wrong with people making predictions about the potential success or failure of someone we haven't even offered the job to yet.

How will that work though. Spurs fans can't agree on who they want. Chanting a name at the Lane will be chaotic with about 6 names banding around at the same time! Whoever gets in, will get abuse from the fans who didn't get their man!

Everyone should turn up to the final game with their genitals exposed.

Actually that may be a bit embarrassing.

van Gaal is never going to come here.

Bad idea, nobody wants to see a grown man cry like a bitch. Plus I would hope our fans have more class than that.

Just cheer for the players, they're the ones that need our encouragement.

A&C will cause a crush by getting caught up in the turnstiles - a whole block of them

Just cheer on the players and let this disappointing, and often embarrassing season end.

Thanks for the WTF rating there @Dean

I guess you felt last season's disappointing and often embarrassing football wasn't disappointing and often embarrassing after all. Or maybe you object to the notion of cheering on our own players. I don't give a fuck about the rating itself, but its implication is a bit odd.

@Abosolute Bobbins: I have no idea why you think you or us fans should have a say over the appointment of head coach.

1) You have no ownership of the club.
2) You have no professional knowledge in fball.
