I know this is a footballing cliché but the first thing we have to do is compete with ManU. Work as hard as they do. If we put the right team out, and match them for work rate, then, based on personnel, we have every chance. If they out work us, then they still have the players to make that count.

We played well for 40 minutes last year, as we have on other occasions, but we have to play well for 90. Work hard for 90 and not shit ourselves.

There's nothing more certain than Evra will attempt to crock Lennon in the first five minutes and the ref will do absolutely sod all about it. It happens every time we play United. Get your money on with William Hill now.

And the twatty commentators will praise the ref for not carding early on so it doesn't ruin the flow of the game, or some such bollocks.

Exactly what happened last game. Evra did 3 yellow card fouls and got away with just one yellow.

He said over run, which is fair enough. We're considerably weaker in the middle of the park when we play away without Sandro. Lets just see how Capoue does.
Fucking hell, I need to get my eyes checked out, I see what he means now

TalkSport saying that Van Persie and Rooney likely to be out.

You just know if we get anyhing out of this that will be all the media will focus on. Not that we're missing Kaboul, Vertonghen, Sandro and Paulinho. You know, the fucking core of our team!

Ahh well, if we do get a win I'll be way too happy to give a flying fuck.

Don't why so many people are so fearful. Like BC says, if we compete well with them we have every chance.

They could line up like this:

DDG
Smalling Evans Vidic Evra
Carrick Cleverley
Young Kagawa Welbeck
Chico

Would fancy us big time

Game of two halves; jumpers for goal posts etc. :) No you're right, we're going to have to work hard for 90 minutes+. Well, I'm not, I'm just going to sit on my lazy arse.

That line up would work well playing on the counter. Hard to imagine them doing that at home, hopefully they'll be stupid, stretch themselves and try duel with Dembele

Lol tweet from tim apparently:
Sherwood: "I don’t sleep and when you do, you wake up after two hours thinking about Adebayor. That can’t be right." #THFC

With RVP and possibly Rooney out, the next to watch out for is Welbeck. His pace in behind will trouble Daws & Vlad. Other than him and Rooney (if he does play), the rest doesn't really strike that much of a fear. After all, Rooney's goals and Welbeck's dive were the difference between us winning and drawing at the Lane.

If Adebayor has a big game today then we've got a chance of a result.

We've just got a weak mentality at OT and I think ultimately that will cost us. Even when 2-0/3-2 up last year we were hanging on to be fair and didn't look comfortable at all in the second half.
