I know criticism of anything on here is an infamata but his closing down effort in the last 10 mins was absolutely unacceptable. Dembele was chasing and harrying significantly more and he had been on the pitch for 90 bloody minutes.

I do not expect world class skill from Harry Kane but I do expect 100% effort, I did not see that at all.

Tell you what, early days and I wouldn't trust him with my MIL, but fair dues to Timmy. He's got the team playing more positively and shown more personal growth in the role of head coach in a couple of weeks than Andre, as much I loved the cheeky scamp, did in 18 months.

The only thing missing from the AVB tenure is that control we had in most games. Need to get a little bit of that to go along with Sherdawg's effective tweaks up front. I think we'll get it soon anyway, the way Tim was telling them to press and push up. Just need to get through this busy period and then have a couple of weeks relative quiet so they can work on this on the training pitch.

This exact same fixture last season for a start. We also had the beating of Liverpool last season barring a couple of individual errors. We drew with Chelsea and should've beaten Everton barring the pathetic lapse in injury time. He generally had us set up to play well away from home imo (Man City aside).
