As donkey like as Welbeck is, he's pretty strong nowadays and fast. He's a walking red card magnet against the likes of Chiriches and Dawson.

Jesus titty fucking christ, a spurs manager has actually picked one of the potential line-up's I posted in the pre-match thread.

4-4-2 makes Holtby redundant. He doesn't have the discipline to play the role. Bentaleb can probably hold his station so gets a bench spot, Holtby has lost out to Chadli and Lamela.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Need to try and get a result today if we are going to keep pace.

No Sigurdsson or Holtby on the bench

Siggy- meh but No Holtby?????- Getting worried that he's going to be sold- he's not injured and he's been absent from the bench for 2 games and Bentaleb has been preferred- that's just plain stupid.
Bentaleb looks like can play in the middle of a 442, while I don't don't think Holtby can, so it makes some sense.

Have you seen his quotes this week about him saying that he loves the Bundesliga and the usual "anything can happen in football" stuff. Worrying.
Yeah, of course they can be loaded questions but I for one wouldn't blame him for moving back. He went from regular CL football to sporadic PL cameos for us.

Obviously an awful lot will be pooled through Rooney but we shouldn't ignore Januzaj as he could he a real thorn in our sides today.

A rusty Carrick and Rooney? I'll take that.

- Dembele to eat Carrick and Cleverly alive single handedly

- Capoue to sit on Rooney and make him redundant

- Eriksen and Rose to make Smalling look like the inept non-league footballer he is.

- Soldado to give Evans the run around

- Lennon to roast Evra as usual.

Simple?
Should get some joy down the left against that lumbering oaf...

Just hope we are winning by the time the extra day's rest becomes a factor. (and it will)

442 at Old Trafford is pretty naive IMO. I would have rather a 442/4231 with Ade as the target man.

Happy to be proved wrong of course.

Would have liked to see Holtby on the Bench over one of the kids. Also would have liked Lamela to start over Ade or Lennon. Nevertheless, Come on you Spurs

Sherwood really doesn't rate Holtby does he? Unless he is injured as and I don't know about it

Strong team and bench. Only possible change would be Holtby for Bentaleb but I think its right that a couple of places on the bench are used to give youngsters some experience.

Think Holtby will be in the next match squad and one of the current squad, X, dropped out - which will give rise to someone saying that Sherwood doesn't fancy X. With our strong squad (even with our injuries) its difficult to fit everyone in the matchday squad.

Decent side there, quite pleased. Nice to be able to say Walker and Rose in for Naughton and Fryers.

What a surprise, Rooney is absolutely fine.

Strong team for United apart from their midfield. Januzaj, Valencia & Rooney are a danger.

utd fans are worried about januzaj not offering evra enough protection against walker and lennon so it'll be interesting who comes out on top of that battle.

line up as expected. good work tim. walker will be busy with januzaj and rose with Valencia, should be a good match test for our full backs, and one they can win.
