Would love to provide some insightful comments on the 1st half but considering Amazon own a good chunk of the internet you would think they could provide a stable stream but can they fuck.

We finally started with 3-5-2 and still people are not happy.

I actually thought we controlled some periods quite well with our possession.

This is a better watch than the 3-4-3. So what United have more shots? They are just banging on one hopeful one to go in. Conte is never about amassing large chunks of possession. At least we got to see some fast breaks more effective than a 3-4-3 and Emerson playing. Doherty is sooo much better.

A lot of poor on field decisions from the lads today.

Ineffective and negative passes have played us into problems more than once when a slightly risky forward ball was available.

It’s quite clear that we’re missing a baller like Kulusevski today.

Is this a coincidence... away at Cheslea it was their best performance. Same for Arsenal. We do tend to wobble in these big away games! Hopefully Conte gives them a talking to at HT and we show more confidence
Exactly this. Which also gives the crowd something to cheer about and get behind giving us an even bigger uphill task. We need to come out the blocks and go at them.

yves always looks like his thinking too much on the ball, doesn't like natural or instinctive like he did at Brighton

The results are pretty consistent. Ultimately, that's all that counts.
Up to a point. Teams don’t play this badly and consistently pick up points over a season IMO. I might be wrong, and it’s hard to argue with the results over his tenure, but on another day we’re out of sight in this game

We’re riding our luck. Against a better team we’re 2 down or more

We need better personal performances, picking up the tempo and being braver in possession as opposed to substitutions here.

The solution is with the 11 out there put it that way but must play better
We can't play much worse! Slow build up, no one taking responsibilty, lack of competition and guts. Sorry but we have been CRAP in attituded and application.

The only positive from that half is that it's probably the best half United has produced this season and still has nothing to show for it. All to play for in the second half.

It's not winning 50/50's that turned this entire game. We can soak up pressure - we are good at that. But you have to win the 50/50's to then turn the game around and put doubt in the opponent by turning them around in a flash.

Just haven't won enough (any?) 50/50's. Gave them huge confidence and drained all ours.

Think 3-4-3 is what we need. I live bissouma but Hojberg and Bentancur work much better right now as a 2 and understand eachover on another level. Plus 3-4-3 is better for us defensively than 3-5-2 as the wide forwards fall back when defending to make it a 5-4-1.

I'd take Bissauma off for Sess and push Persic up top. He's a clever player and could do the intelligent Kulu role quite well

All over the place, the midfield shape is all wrong for me.

However, this is how a Man Utd team should be playing at home.

We need to push 20 yards higher. Just defending way too deep. This isn't a third round cup tie and we are the non league side. Fuck sakes.

We have had two or three decent counters but because we are so deep we aren't getting enough in the box.

Problem is one ball over the top to Rashford and we’re fucked.

Son and Kane can’t press because they are totally outnumbered so we can’t push up to much.

Hojbjerg is having a dreadful game
I like him as a player he gives his all and is a 100% player, but he is very limited in what he does and I hate saying it as I do like him as a footballer, he has a role. But in too many games he slows the midfield terribly.

Only real positive is that we're more resolute than we've been. Not pleasing on the eye but the opposition get very few "easy" chances.

That was pretty rough. Only Kane and Bentancur can pass the ball. Still in it though, and Spurs tend to be better in 2nd half.
