You couldn't be so wrong. Rojo is tall, strong, almost as fast as Walker, runs all the time. I'd say his best attribute is athleticism. And defensive awareness was until lately his weak spot.

Maybe totally unrelated, but Sporting are about to sign a 20yr LB from Estudiantes, Jonathan Silva. Probably the best young LB in Argentina right now.
I know Rojo plays CB there, but he was Jefferson's backup for that position. And they have several CBs. Maybe signing a new LB means they are preparing to sell him

If we are selling Rose, having Rojo to cover both CB and LB would make sense

Correct. There also looks to be a dearth of quality centre backs around too. Could kill two birds with one stone by getting Rojo.

Hopefully we can make this a potential triple of double deals this summer (Lopes and Rojo) and that would be our incomings complete I guess (assuming we get the 2 Saints men in).

This would be a cracking way to wrap up the squad. I think we're a LCB away from being there. I had thought Moreno would be the answer, but his injury may have put a block on that for now. Rojo would a very good alternative.

real hope Foxy is right on this one, attributes really suit the prem if you ask me.
I don't agree with the idea that because Southampton are going for him, we could just bid and get him instead. With Vertonghen staying and Davies signing I don't see him as a starter so who's to say he would prefer to come to us and play mostly in the cups?

I'd forget about Lopes. Get this guy as back up to both Davies and Vertonghen. Keep Chiriches as back up to both Kaboul and Walker. Allows us to sell both Dawson and Rose. Keep Veljkovic as emergency backup.
