Technically he is asking on the internet. :D

Haha yes good point. I just think it is strange (and annoying but maybe that is just me) when people ask questions on here that you can answer in 5 secs with google etc. Anyway does anyone know what time it kicks off?

This evening is time to stand up, show that the home defeats were a blip and that we are entitled to be playing on this stage. Put ourselves in charge of our own destiny come the last match where if we are raring to go the fans will be behind the team in massive numbers.

This CL campaign situation isnt because the sides we're playing against are better than us it's because we haven't performed. 2 games to go

COYS!!!!!

Like @Goldman above I am more confident in our away games in CL than the Wembley ones. We seem more relaxed and our style of play this year suits it. Monaco will go for the win I think as they will want to top the group. A classic away performance 0-2 would be great.

Just hope Kane is ok to start, he makes such a difference.

Just heard that Dembele,Alli and Kane are all doubts to start. Thinking about our strongest team left that we can put out in midfield i guess it must be a combo of Wanyama, winks, eriksen, son, sissoko. so that could go into a 4231 or 4141. I'm sure winks could do a very good job next to wanyama in a middle 2.

If that's true, then I'd go:

Lloris

Walker - Wimmer - Verts - Rose

Dier - Wanyama

Winks - Eriksen - Son

Janssen

...and hope to high fuckery that Son, Eriksen and Janssen turn up.

We can do it without Moussa or Alli (of course it would be much tougher) but not without Kane. We haven't won a game this season without him.

Man City and the mighty Gillingham. But your point stands - we are a hell of a lot better with him in the team.

Oh yeah I forgot about Man City. Our mentality that day was great. We need this animal instinct again. Son up front did great job but I think this was the only game it worked that well. Probably because of City tactics to play from the back. Can't see us winning today with him or Jannsen leading the line. I remembered Gilingham but this game wasn't a big challenge.

Who cares about tonight really??

It's nice to have a few days away in a foreign country seeing a few sights and having a good crack but after that, who cares??

Over hyped competition playing teams in general that I couldn't care less about

A bit like the national team games....

CL should be from the champions of each respective league. A knockout competition not this Mickey Mouse commercialised for telly rubbish we get now

Pre Christmas the CL is a complete joke

The domestic league is where it's at. Chelsea next weekend is far more important to me

Rest Kane/Walker etc for the weekend

I get what he's saying though. I've always felt that it should really only be for league champions, as the European Cup was. Being realistic, we're highly unlikely to win it. It's about money and the prestige of being it.

If we don't get through, though, I'd hope we'd at least get 3rd and drop into the Europa League. We could then use that to blood more of our promising youngsters and give some others not yet cutting the mustard in the PL a chance to get some confidence and up their game. It worked for Kane, why not for Janssen?

Looks like the karma for our mostly injury-free season last year is being paid back in spades this year.

It's a cup competition so anything can happen though and it's easier winning the CL than the league. We'll probably get knocked out but I don't see the point of putting ourselves through a 38 game season in order to qualify for the CL just to go out at the first stage.

This isn't the Worthless Cup. Win tonight and we are potentially 7 games away from the Champions League final.!
