Hoddle hasn't managed for 10 years - how can you possibly give him the job?

Hoddle never got to finish what he started with England, and for a few years i think he may have had a case to get the job back but then my head overrules my heart and has to admit that he's probably far more pundit now than manager.

Pardew will be shining his shoes, but it's going to be Harry, isn't it?

Not the saggy hero we want, but maybe he's the one we need.

Wonder how long until Sol 'deluded' Campbell throws his hat into the ring?

That would actually be hilarious, because we know he wouldn't get it, and we know he'll blame it on the FA being racist.

I wish they could entice Klopp to take the job so that the Scousers will have to source for a new mgr, but I know it's just wishful thinking.

I did originally put on my post he'd then say he didn't get it cos he was black but then lost my bottle! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

(Just like he didn't get the England captaincy cos he was black but obviously was the GREATEST player in team and most deserving... Deluded fool...).

Originally voted Hiddink, good shout still if you asked me again (wikipedia not showing at a club right now, but I don't follow too much outside of spurs so have no idea if perhaps there is a reason he wouldn't be in the running?)

I think Southgate has a good opportunity here. All depends on his mindset, if he comes in for these four games with the aura of just holding the fort and picking the same squad and being a bit of a wimp not making any decisions then forget it.

However if he was to come in, act as if it's his job, make a couple of brave calls (ditching Rooney) and picks his own squad, plus has a few good wins and can get some performances then I think he'd have put himself in a great position.

I know this is Gareth boring Southgate we're talking about, but you never know...

Can we not just give it to Martin Jol so we can all have him back in our lives? :)

Just did a quick search on Google images for a picture of the Big Man hugging it up with Chrissy, but somehow found this... i have no words.

Really want Hoddle to get it. Best tactical manager ever, just hasn't got the man management skills for league football.

The perfect international manager

PLEASE NOT PARDEW, HOWE OR BRUCE. Zero experience of world football, or even European experience at club level.
There would be a lot of logic in giving Southgate the job especially if he does well in the caretaker role . Continuity from under 21 to full internationals makes sense , especially having worked with the likes of Kane, Rashford ,Stones and Alli.
Outside of Southgate not many choices. Certainly no English coaches stand out. Amongst the foreign ones maybe Klinsmann or Koehman.

There couldn't be a worse appointment than Gareth southgate, I wouldn't be surprised if he is taking money off chelsea as he seems to constantly play players who aren't getting gametime at their clubs whilst overlooking other chelsea players who are actually doing well

Dear England, there is a manager whose win ratio at a top club was second to none who is currently job less. Please hire him.

*This message has been brought to you by Tim Sherwood for England.

Personally I don't give a toss who manages England as I am not a supporter. So saying that I would rather England employ someone where it benefits Spurs. As I said above they should employ Klopp therefore weakening Liverpool considerably

Sam has been incredibly daft, falling for this routine. I'm disappointed as I thought he'd do well long term.

Back to the drawing board. I try not to be interested with the farce of English football, but I just cannot help myself.

It's such a tough gig bit the salary attracts, regardless, so I'm hopeful of a decent replacement. Here we go again.
