According to Tony Barrett of The Times he has already agreed to join Liverpool and will be at Melwood later this week but his recent comments don't sound like someone who is definitely already a LFC player.

We've completed a deal with Lille though for nearly £10m ut Lille have said they won't sell to anyone who won't allow him to stay at the club on loan this season.

He's currently at Melwood. No-one knows for certain why.

We'll see but Jay above is very rarely wrong. He said we'd ended our interest in Shaqiri whilst everyone else, including Di Marzio, was saying we were trying to sign him and he was spot on, but you never know. If Di Marzio can get it wrong sometimes I'm sure Jay can too.

He might only be at Melwood for a tour and a chat etc before speaking to other clubs too?

He's probably not yet announced he signed for Spurs so he could tour your facilities for free. Otherwise he'd have to pay the 3.50 entry. The cheap bastard.

On a serious note, I'm glad we've missed out on him. I'm sure he'll develop into a great player but I didn't really see much that made me want him more than Kane, and Kane has the advantages of already being on the squad, having experience with us, and being homegrown.

They'll most likely buy more players if that sale goes through. That is 7 new players already. I think they're going on a spending spree at the moment for the same reason we did last summer - trying to replace one superstar with a good amount of team players to strengthen across the board. But all those new players will take a while to mesh and will cause some issues. Rodgers has a herculean task ahead of him. We've learned it the hard way and the fact that it seems they haven't learned from our mistakes could be to our benefit.
