They're 2 different players. Kondogbia is a typical defensive player while Paulinho is an offensive box-to-box player who could play in an advance position as well (play maker kind of). Both would be welcomed at WHL.
I know but the other day paulinho was playing a dm that went in to cb when the fullbacks went forward despite having gusto a there which did make me go wtf!

But kondogbia is a steal at £10mill

He supposedly wants to go to AFC over RM. Do you seriously think he would choose us? ;)

Agree about Kondogbia. Add Bruno Martin Indi and Kurt Zouma or Doria and Spurs are set defensively for the next 7-8+ seasons.

I watched Swansea when Caulker was on loan there. Let's just say Steven was by far the better central defender.;)

You know what, I watched Swansea when Caulker was there a lot, and I thought the exact opposite. Numerous times it was Williams - who I didn't particularly rate or have any preconceptions of - baling Caulker out of situations.

I'm not saying Williams is brilliant, but he's OK.

I come in peace - as far as I am concerned you are welcome here and I appreciate your input.

Honest question, what do you think you will do in the transfer window and what do expect next year?? Suarez must be an issue with you.

According to ad.nl (Algemeen Dagblad, Dutch newspaper) Swansea have bid for Wilfried Bony.

Google translate :

Miljoenenbod on Bony
Wilfried Bony possible gets his dream transfer to the Premier League. Swansea City explained yesterday at Vitesse officially miljoenenbod down for the attacker. Possible today is already clear that the Arnhem accepting, reports AD Sportwereld. How Swansea wants to pay for the top scorer of the Eredivisie is unclear. However, sources report that the "very, very seriously" is a bid. Bony still celebrates holiday in Paris and log in principle about a week back at Vitesse. The striker, however, has already said goodbye to Vitesse in his heart. Earlier spoke fiduciaries are already with the Russian Anzji of coach Guus Hiddink. Despite the princely salary Bony in Dagestan can earn his preference seems still going out to a club in a strong European competition.

When I watched Swansea, on numerous occasions Williams was all over the place, being out of position and leaving Caulker isolated at the back. In my opinion Caulker was the steadier defender, stronger in the air, and had a better feel for when to time his runs forward I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. :)

Williams does what Carragher and Terry have been doing for the last couple of years, gets caught out then makes a last ditch lunge to block everything and gets praised for being committed and making a great challenge when really it was a lack of pace/positional sense (delete as applicable) that caused the opening in the first place.

Liverpool are probably more in need of reinforcements at centre back than Arsenal atm yet you don't see Rodgers showing much of an interest in Williams. Given their history together I think that's notable.

Williams is a decent defender from what I've seen but I'd be quite happy if Arsenal sign him as I don't think he'd represent a substantial upgrade on what they already have. There are better options out there.

Southampton will be a side to watch next season if they can land all these players they are in for.

Lovren on board, Wanyama, Nainggolan being lined up...

Pretty ambitious plans down there
