Now dig up his stats for shots on goal or row Z.
Convert those stats into mins played they would look rather different.
I'm sorry a superior player has dislodged you're favourite player.
Don't get me wrong, because he will have to play at some point, injuries and suspensions.
I want him to do well in the shirt, but I'm not kidding myself, I don't think he's that good Imo.
Not my favourite player but Im not writing off a player who was voted motm and one of our best 3 players in matches by the same people now calling him shit week in week out.

here are the stats with mins played:
Adebayor - 25 games 5 goals 2 assists in 1650 mins(2013 and 2014 stats)
Soldado - 14 games 4 goals 2 assists in 1109 mins
Lamela - 6 games 1 assist in 240 mins
Eriksen - 7 games 1 assist in 427 mins
Chadli - 8 games 1 assist in 580 mins
Townsend - 14 games 1 goal 1 assist in 928mins
Paulinho - 16 games 2 goals 2 assist in 1384mins
Siggy - 12 games 3 goals in 615mins
Holtby - 1 goal in 498 mins
Lennon - 0 goals in 679 mins

So in order of goals or assist per min:
Soldado 1/185 mins
Adebayor 1/236 mins
Lamela 1/240 mins
Paulinho 1/346 mins
Eriksen 1/427 mins
Townsend 1/464 mins
Holtby 1/498 mins
Chadli 1/580 mins
Lennon 0/679 mins

Stats according to TransferMarkt

Totally different story, other than Soldado, Adebayor and Lamela everyone is shit!

Not really, it's a team game.
Townsend doesn't do the team thing.
Poch may be able to get Townsend to play for the team, I really hope he does.
I just don't see it.
Hey we all get things wrong, only time will tell.

Of course, and we'll do that. But I don't think it is unreasonable as of this point in time to point to certain areas where we visibly have yet to improve, especially when they are vital to a new coach's gameplan. I'm not melting here, saying things aren't going to work out eventually, or even that this game to which this thread is devoted plays any significant part in my opinion; but rather pointing out my disappointment (but not to the extent it's been made out to be in here) that we still have yet to see signs of improvement in such a vital area.

It's entirely possible someone could click and incorporate this component to their game come even next month. I don't rule that out, but as of right now I remain of the opinion that the most likely fix of the problem will be a slight personnel change, rather than tactical over time. Is all I'm saying.
Sorry mate, I read it as only a personnel change will fix it. Fair enough then.

He was a good team player for the youth team and outshone jack wilshere against le arse in youth matches. I saw him play U18's and he crossing ability was the best on the pitch. He has only been an inverted winger for a year if you discount this calendar year since he has been unfit.

It's a proper slaughtering now. They've been good, but Wolfsburg missed a lot of chances too. Good, open game.

Everton have benefited from a year under the best manager. Let's hope Poch is at least better than average and can be around to build something in which case we will get better

Also, Wolfsburg haven't exactly clicked as of yet either. Two points from three games in the Bundesliga, albeit one of those against Munich.

Then he needs to go out on loan as he won't get enough game time to improve here.

He needs to be coached to get rid of the bad habits that a certain former coach drilled into him - not a loan.

Alternatively re-training by a coach to take him from bring a wnger to being a Wing Forward, he has many of the attributes, just never been trained how to play that role.

I said that after the liverpool game but at the moment, the europa and Carling cup is enough.

I liked the fact he didnt shoot alot today and looked for the pass, i thought that was improvement already.

I agree but it is very difficult to put good coaching into practice without game time.

Draw a fair result to tonight. Ashame really, the first 30 minutes i thought we did well, after that, you have to give credit to PB they upped their game, and we couldn't really get back into the match. I'm dissapointed in that regard, the second half we played some really stupid football.

I like the look of Stambouli. Got something about him, some steel, but a bit of flair as well. Fazio looked solid and him and verts were great.

Davies had a shocker, although second half he did some good stuff. Infact he got better with the harder stuff to do. Completely fluffed it when he had cover from midfield, but coped well when exposed 2 against one.

Townsend is the most infuriating player. First 15 minutes i thought he was superb, he was making things happen, after that he just got marked and kicked out of the game.

Lamela, so pleased with him. Didn;t do much tonight, but the few bits he did do, that boy is going to go far. Sees things that the rest don't.

Fair and by no means a bad result.

A) They are playing at home on a very expensive and very nice playing surface

B) They are a settled team with a coach who's had a year to implement his philosophy on his squad

C) They have pretty much their first team out
I wasn't comparing them to us; the comparison was with Wofsburg.

Maybe you were listening to the usual jingoism from ITV, but Wolfsburg carved out many chances. The score flattered Everton.

Nah I watched the game, Everton scored 4 goals and Wolfsburg scored 1 therefore they were the better team (y)

This is what you said twenty minutes ago:

Good point earned, injury free, clean sheet. I can live with that. Roll on Sunday!

The you said a few minutes ago:

Different starting eleven or not, even if played on planet Gog the overall performance was dire, with zero invention participated by millionare footballers. You really cannot mask over that fact.

:ROFLMAO:

We earned a point, we earned a point on Saturday? I can indeed live with that after a dire performance. Like i said roll on Sunday and let's hope we play a lot, lot better than at your fortress Sunderland.

What do you see so, so wrong in someone on here saying that the point was well earned despite a dire performance?

Apparently we picked up an injury, one that i didn't see. Bad news if true.

Don't be so bitter after your'e laughable summing up of Sunderland. It's not your fault you make assumptions without
checking facts first.

It's like people are new to football

Away in UEFA competition, especially against eastern european teams under difficult conditions.
Travel, poor pitch, hostile environment, home ref etc.
It's not our job to entertain, we're there to pick up a result - and we do it while resting key players.
Perhaps the game shouldn't be watched by everyone, it's just for the ones with special interest who need to see every minute Spurs play. Those who must be entertained should probably stay away from games like this.

Happy with the result if not the play, don't think it was any worse than playing 1-1 at home to Schalke.
