I think in a roaming midfield role specially if Paulinho has given less defensive duties and instruct to go into the box as much as he can , he will be much more than playing in cm role

Paulhino seems to divide Spurs fans more than most players - he certainly didn't look that giood at Spurs last season, but then but I'm struggling to think of who did.

He was played by AVB as a sort of deeplying dm/playmaker but certainly didn't look the part - and I'm very unconvinced he can play a part of a CM2 - A CM3, yes think he would be good in that.

But given that Poch seems to set up as a 4231, the starter option is to play him as one of the attacking 3, almost certainly as the CAM - and to be fair under Tim he looked very good (even excellent) against Stoke until clattered.

However with the options we have in that position - Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli, Kane et al, I'm not sure I see him a a starter. A player to come on to change things, maybe

So IMO he falls into the caegory of 'one of a number of midfielders who if the right offer comes along we might accept so as to invest the cash elsewhere - and to keep a good player happy as he may not be happy as a bit part player'

So with the price we bought him at and he could fetch, I think its quite likely (but niot a certainty if nobody offers a decent fee) that he'll go

Capoue?
Honestly? That's a serious question mate

I meant we have 4 defensive CMs. I wasnt suggesting Capoue is the one we should sell, just one of the holding players. I wouldnt sell Capoue - he's just coming into his prime. Nabil has too much potential, and Dembele is a little more versatile. That leaves Sandro the odd man out to me.

Fair enough mate, my bad;)

I'd do a loan swap. No fucking way I'd sell to those ****s permanently. Not fucking United. No.Fucking.Way.

Man U was the first to come to mind when I saw the bit. The pressure is on a bit with van Gaal, and he may be less willing to wait for Strootman to recover or Roma to even deal, and so may be looking for a more immediate fix.

I'd much rather do business with them than Chelsea. Has always been a "respectful classic rivalry" in my eyes, so despite me enjoying their fall from grace last season and their start to this one, I'll always have considerably less disdain for them than clubs such as Arse, Chels, and now Liverpool.

Yep let's sell a players whose goals actually got us points last season to a team where his goals may get them points. A rival. Ludicrous.

I reckon United will have multiple targets before they even think about going for Paulinho so I'm not that concerned at this moment in time.

Don't know why in the world we would ever give them anything they would want, even if it meant we got Welbeck. Whether they believe it or not, they are our rivals for 4th and strengthening them in any way is unacceptable in my mind.

Perhaps but then are you telling me Lamela and Chadli won't have a considerably better goal scoring record this year too?

I have faith in Paulinho but the window of opportunity is closing for him as others are staking a claim.

Well that's probably somebody trying to be ITK

We know that Wellbeck has been told he's he can leave by LVG. Obviously ITK wannabe didn't
It's always possible. Also, did LVG say that? I hadn't read it yet (not trying to be negative, I'm genuinely asking (y))

No it wsa good to question. Because I looked past the headline.

He didn't say he could go. He rejected numerous opportunities to publicly assure the striker he has a future at Old Trafford.

Which led to the headline "Wellbeck told he can suck it by van Gaal"

So my bad
