Sorry haven't seen the official word from the club just the sky alert. Either way, I thought he'd be back for one of the two remaining games.
Nothing to play for, no reason to have risked injury to a player returning from injury. Rose was never going to play in these matches.

Hope is is back and fit for the start of next season.

If we want to play wing backs we need another option in the squad. Hopefully this will be a priority in the summer now.

As admittedly shit news that it is, better sorted now than left lingering on.

Don't doubt this will eat into pre-season to a degree but premature to suggest he'll miss the start of our campaign.

Saw that on Sky Sports - seems likely given the club said he will return next season (not pre-season)

Ok. I'll go with the BBC in that case:

Tottenham full-back Danny Rose has had surgery on a left knee injury and will not return to action until next season.

The 26-year old England left-back picked up the injury playing against Sunderland in January.

Rose had hoped to play before the end of the current campaign.

If there are doubts I've said this in another thread but I'd love to snaffle Robertson from Hull although Liverpool are also sniffing around him I believe.

I'd get Robertson either way but make it top priority if Rose being ready for start of next season in doubt.

Then we would have 3 left backs all in their 20s with international aspirations, how would we keep them happy?
