Anyone noticed how polarised so many of these threads have become? Everyone's boxed into extreme positions all the time: "Jose haters", "Bale haters" etc and then of course the "I told you sos" and the settling of scores should the team or a particular player hit a good run of form. Everything's either a disaster or world class, the best signing ever or the worst mistake we've made. It mirrors a lot of what is happening generally in Western culture actually.
not just an internet forum. the world has become polarised.

His first touch when he came on today was a peach of a cross with the outside of the left boot. Nice cameo and hopefully he'll be well rested for Sunday.

Think I said it in one of the match threads but even if you take away Bales finishing, dribbling and pace he would be worth having in the team for that left foot. Unbelievable passing and crossing.

That free kick attempt was crazy from that distance. I can't think of the last time we had a player who could take an accurate free kick from that range. Oh yes I can, it was Bale.

It's stunning how much he has added to his game since he left in 2013. I remember in 2016 Bale led La Liga and was something like top 3 in Europe for headed goals, and his instincts in the box and anticipating space are extremely fine tuned now. Reguilon and Son are going to rack up assists the rest of the season because of the chaos he causes on the back post.

Also he's beginning to fill space on the pitch the way the old Bale did, it's not that he's got that explosive pace but he still has enough to get there, to 50-50s and balls into space that he couldn't do in the fall. I forgot how exciting it felt to have a right winger who's a danger every time he's near the ball. Sunday will be a big test as Tierney is one of the best LBs in the league and will push him to track back as well. I am taking Bale to win that battle 10/10.

That fucking cross with the outside of the left foot with what was his first touch.

Fuck off Gareth.
Not sure can even think of another player who could/would have completed that cross. Unbelievable, the “real Gareth Bale“ is coming to life and is just as amazing, he seems to have regained his love for the game and for our beloved Spurs. Long may it continue there is so much he brings to and can teach the team. ???COYS
