My issue with sissoko is more about where we are playing him rather than the player himself.as a centremid i dont mind seeing him on the pitch as i think he can do a decent job there but when he is playing wide forward i just find he frustrates the life out of me.it just dont seem to come natural to him.doesnt make runs inbehind, hasnt contributed enough in terms of assists or goals considering the amount of chances he has been given.
The price tag i dont give two shits about, i didnt pay it.though it seem strange the way poch sticks with him but at the same time was so quick to pie off janssen.

What injury is Dembele recovering from?

Your post is very much agenda driven.

My post is about a player that this thread is dedicated to... Of course it's fucking agenda driven!!!
I don't rate him - didn't rate him at Newcastle, don't rate him at all now.
If I saw flashes of brilliance every game, rather than once or twice per season, then maybe I would change my mind.
Fact is, Newcastle fans and board knew what a dud he was and were laughing the moment we were linked. There's a reason for that!

I was sat in Block 101 last night and every single supporter around me groaned when his name was announced in the line-up and everyone one of them groaned at least 30 times throughout the game when he gave the ball away.

Other than Foyth making a composed debut and KWP filling in at left-back, no player stood out as any better than the others last night. We were pretty crap throughout, so maybe I'm picking on Sissoko, but this is a thread dedicated to him and he's done nothing to make me feel any different about him.

No agenda

He failed consistently tonight to trap and control the ball, move so that another player could pass to him, pass the ball forward, lift his head up to see the picture etc etc etc. If we want a player "to put his foot in" you do not need to pay £30m and his salary. He contributed nothing tonight when he should have been running the show. For £30m I expect a player to be able to pass and move and change the game.

Last night he was shockingly poor and he was the shitiest of the lot.

I left all the bits which are not true in quoting you, which is most of it. I agree Foyth came out with a lot of credit.

Who traps a ball in the prem these days? There is no time to trap a ball, players control the ball or position it so they can lay it off instantly. Sissoko did this exceptionally well. You lie.

Sissoko constantly passed and moved, ran into space. You lie.

Sissoko constantly played with his head up. You lie.

Sissoko contributed nothing? You lie.

He was the shittiest of the lot? You lie.

You should look at yourself. You have agenda tattooed all over you.

I don't even believe you when you say you watched the game.

If you took time to read my post I said I did not have an agenda on Sissoko. I do not need to lie. Oh and my body is beautiful enough not to cover it with any tattoos. He is obviously marmite to many. But he was the worst Spurs player on the pitch last night according to me and an awful lot of other Spurs fans who attended the match last night.

Peace and Love

You are just plain wrong if you were at the game.

I'm not trying to say that he is a great player but believe me, having seen the rubbish we had playing for Spurs during the 2000's he is an average to good squad player. It's not his fault the fee that was paid for him. He puts in a 100% shift each game and you can be certain that if he didn't (and did not perform in training) then Poch would not pick him.

Last night in my view he was one of our best players. I just think people should give credit where credit is due. If he has a really poor game then he deserves to be slated but not on last nights efforts

I did not slate him I just gave my opinion on his performance which is shared by many. You are not alone in watching the shit team in the 2000's or any other decade. We deserve to see value for the £30m (2016 prices) Spurs spent. Name one game where you can say the money was well spent plus support it with a recognised pundit commentary.

If I took the time?

I took it apart, of course I did, but you know this don't you. Because I took it apart.

It's cool, we cool, but you have agenda tattooed all over you, even if you can't see it.

I'd argue that this has a lot to do with preconceived notions. I'm not totally dismissing fans' reactions to players when they do something well/not well, but I just think that people are more likely to see what they think they should see rather than what is actually taking place on the pitch.

Veils over eyes.

Inability to see what is accurate, rather than what they want.

Denial.

Inability to see themselves doing the above.

Inability to watch themselves while they watch something else.

Well said Mattie G.

And remember folks.. "Dont believe everything you think"

He is still a very, very basic player and has absolutely achieved nothing of note so far this season. The need to rush to his defence and invent riddles about his alleged achievements as a new and better player is unfounded. Playing acceptably vs. Barnsley in a tournament the boss doesn't even desire to win isn't a compliment. He has done nothing yet to warrant a great shift in support.

Do you want him to succeed?

I think that one of the difficulties of watching live at the stadium
apart from getting there, out, and getting home
and the food and the cost
is keeping your head when all about you are losing theirs.
If they groan whensomeones name is announced
before he touches the ball,
and every time he actually touches the ball
you have to be very independent and clear minded
to go against the surrounding atmosphere.
Going with flow is much easier and safer.
He has improved but from a very low starting point
and may get better with support.

Bit vague.

Do you think Poch would select him if he wasn't happy with him?
Absolutely. At the end of the day, you have to name 11 players. It's unavoidable. Even if you don't have 11 match fit players you'd love to play. It's the same reasoning I gave for Mason and Bentaleb playing as much as they did, and in hindsight, given who is and is not still at the club, there is reason to believe I wasn't entirely wrong about that.

You believe our squad is weak?
