I Still think he’s stealing a living as a professional footballer and he is so unbelievably shocking at shooting but he does give 100% every game he plays and you can’t moan at that. Let’s not kid ourselves here though, he is a terrible footballer.

53 appearances for the French National team. I didn't know they constantly select terrible footballers!

“Sissoko's inability to control the ball is preventing us from building momentum in possession”
Perfectly summed up by Nathan Clark

You’re point ? Sorry but I don’t need to go by him being selected for France to deflect my view of him as a poor footballer. I can see it on the football field week in week out. He’s shocking mate what ever way you try to dress it up. Will I give him stick in the stands ? Of course not. But he is a terrible footballer plain and bloody simple son.

I’m Sissoko’s biggest hater but fair play to him he did well yesterday but I feel like we start to overrate him again. Every simple thing he does we start to give him credit. If we played a team that pressed us higher than Burnley then he would be in trouble because he just can’t control the ball quickly enough to turn. I would still sell him/use academy players instead of him. That’s just my opinion I know that many of you will disagree with me

How can you, as a Spurs fan, hate someone that plays for the team you support, does his best when he gets the chance, never complains and is acting very professional in general. I really don't get that.

Agree. To not rate someone is one thing but to hate someone who is doing their best in a professional manner is ridiculous.

I could be wrong but I don’t think you’re meant to take that word literally.

There’s some super fans on here who’s backs get up as soon as you negatively comment on a players ability.

People, for example, say player X is shit when they really mean he’s average or say they hate X player when really they mean they don’t like or rate said player very much.

I just let out a preemptive chuckle anytime he gets put through one on one and inevitably misses. Hell, we should get more excited anytime there's an opposition goal kick as there's a better chance of Jan scoring a scissor kick from the half way line.

Seriously though, to use the word hate is just pure odd.

Unless said person has the vocabulary of a five year old.

I don’t think it’s a lot to ask someone to use basic vocabulary.

I’v written numerous posts on why I don’t rate sissoko. Never had a negative response so the idea that you can’t be negative is nonsense.

If you don’t rate someone say so and explain why. If you don’t like someone say why.

Not sure why society has gone so far downhill that we don’t expect to have a basic vocabulary.

If you don’t have a basic vocabulary why use a forum that primarily uses the written word ?

Laziness probably has something to do with it but people get so precious about the word imo, especially when used in a football context. I fucking hate Arsenal but would I refuse to be mates with an arsenal fan. No. Football hate isn’t real hate irs pantomime.

Haven’t you ever said you hate something when in fact you just don’t like it much? Whether it’s some food you eat or a relative or whatever.

Anyway, who really gives a fuck if he literally meant it (which would be odd you’re right) it’s just someone expressing an opinion. In this instance I think it’s safe to assume he just means I’m Sissoko’s biggest detractor.

Some people don’t have much of a vocabulary, I guess. It’s also a very common word, used in every day life, that isn’t meant to be taken literally. I hate custard I hate auntie peggy I hate Arsenal I hate Costa etc etc

I agree. Wouldnt of given another glance had it being hating Arsenal, Chelsea whatever, but one of your own players lol

But you're right, who gives a fuck.

It’s just word misappropriation (is that the right word?) we do it with love as well. I love King I love Kane but we don’t really love them just as we don’t really hate Sissoko

Sissoko is not of the technical level of our other midfielders, and his touch can be surprisingly bad and make him look very poor. But he’s probably our most powerful runner, with or without that ball, and breaks opposition lines more often than a lot of our more technically adept players. Anyone saying he is crap and shouldn’t be anywhere near our starting line up is mugging off Pochettino (our best manager in my 38 years supporting spurs), who has forgotten more about football than anyone on here ever knew. His ‘miss’ against Burnley was actually not that bad a finish, and the keeper pulled off a great reflex save with his trailing foot despite being sent the wrong way. Kane, Eriksen and Alli would almost certainly have scored, but I don’t think any of our other players would have done any better, especially not Winks, Dier or Wanyama who are players in Sissoko’s position. And Son, who has been on fire recently, had a much worse miss and a less effective game than Sissoko.

"1st September. The window has closed and Sissoko's signing was confirmed last last night while I'm spending my last hours in Ibiza. I think Daniels though process was "he's a good player, but Maurichio will make him better."

"We'll see."

Little snippet for the book.

Doesn't appear to be a Poch signing that's for sure despite what many an ITK stated.

I was gonna say I don’t understand why this got a dislike as it’s not abusive or nasty in anyway, then I see which poster disliked it, says it all really
