Yeah, to borrow someone else's phrase, he's a very effective cog in our high energy game.

What we paid for him, the exact figure, is largely irrelevant really. If he improves us collectively that's the single most important criteria to base judgement.

Our quality in depth has never been so good.

I really like him as a player, and he's got a lot more to bring to the table. His workrate was exceptional today.

Thought he had a good game today, looking forward to seeing what he can do when he gets up to Poch levels of fitness

Thought it was his best game since the signing, but he looked like pure DM, with not attacking assets to his game. Fumbles and stumbles in and around the box, but otherwise a sound display.

Walker and Sissoko down the right is going to give teams nightmares. Needs to work on his final ball, but with Pochettino's coaching we have a top player.

I think big, pacey players give you a definite edge in the premiership and look forward to him getting fully fit and integrated.

Definitely made me eat some of my words about him with his performance today. I still think he's more athlete than footballer but we needed that from him today.

I wouldn't say that to his face though, he's freaking huge!

Sissoko and Wanyama were warriors today. Add in Dembele and Dier and thats alot of man beef. Cant wait till we play Chelsea again. Oscar Hazard and willian are in for a rough ride.

He's in the team to run and dovetail with the right back. He is very effective. Doubt he'll ever have huge goal and assist numbers but teams need to watch him and, whilst they're doing that, the others can move about more. Last season we sorely lacked someone who was direct from out wide, we now have two players who can do it (from either wing) and it makes us look much more balanced.

Poch has assembled the near perfect squad

Oh man, I can really see us putting in yesterday's kind of performance at home to Chelsea. That's something to really look forward to, especially with the added spice!

He caused all sorts of problems for city yesterday especially in the 20 minutes after half time.

Liking his impact. Definite improvement to the squad.

I agree, he was pretty great yesterday and provided an effective outlet down the right side while helping to bring others in to play and really run the City defenders in to the ground

He might not be the stand out star we perhaps would have got had we been able to sign Mane for similar money in that position but he looks very much like a player who will effectively fit in to our team/squad and continue to further the managers high energy pressing ethos

If he makes us as a team more effective he doesn't need to make the standout individual impact that Mane makes for Liverpool

We are a team largely without stars anyway, it's one of the things I like most about us. The whole being greater than the sum perhaps. We don't need highlight reel match of the day players, we need effective team players who gel together and produce the goods as a unit over the course of a long season

He definitely had a decent touch whilst at Newcastle didn't he? Just looks like he lacks any kind of finesse at the moment, maybe it's due to lack of game time?

He needs to work on his crossing and distribution into the box

Most of everything else he does looks good, he can beat a man, press hard, track back and run the line, retain possession and link well with others

But too often when in a position to put a dangerous ball in to the box from the right he slices it out for a goal kick

At Wembley his final ball was actually really impressive. I can only remember one crossing situation he shanked it out.

I'm not gonna lie, I remember him coming on but our seats at Wembley were pretty high up and my eyes were a little blurred from the bottle of honey jack daniels and red strip cans my friend and I consumed on our way to the stadium so I will have to take your word for the quality of his crossing that night

I was in the lower tier behind the goal. There was one particular run and picked out pass for kane I remember. He does need better end product than his Newcastle days but I think he will find that in this team.

7 assists would be a decent enough output considering the other attributes he brings to the team.
