reading the opening comments on page 1 of this thread when people were overjoyed that he’d signed. And then page 351…?

enjoyed the brief moments he’d improved. Not sure why we extended his contract. Crazy.

I’m massively in favour of selling Sissoko; but he was arguably our player of the season in 2018-19; deserves respect, always put a shift in, just technically so limited.

We must have been so shit in 2018 if Sissoko was our player of the season... I think it was more a case of Sissoko was ok for Sissoko standards.

Spot on, every player that puts on n a spurs shirt should deserve respect,
was limited in certain aspects but when we chatted his name it wasn't because we were bored but because he was doing a job for us.

His time has surely ended with spurs, we move on he moves on.

Sissoko has incredible mental strength to deal with the fans on his back most of his time with the club and still keep on going. He may not be great with his feet, but you can't fault his attitude and it's obvious he's an influence in the dressing room that everyone gets on well with.

I hold no ill will and wish him all the best.

To be fair whilst people complain about him in forums in the stadium he has always been well supported

people went nuts when he finally scored

We would never win a thing with Sissoko in our squad. He was never a fit for our club.

I think Poch improved some players and he made some a little limited. Sissoko and Lamela were two that were always unusually toothless under Poch, where they weren't before, and I think Sissoko was persuaded to play safe passes and cover the defence an awful lot.

His best strength was as a juggernaut, and almost everyone wondered why he wasn't played in a CM position, rather than RW or otherwise in a position that doesn't do anything for his physicality. I think that 18/19 season was when he covered that position and did well at it.

Either way, he looked far better before he signed with his sheer size and strength and being more of an attacking player. He ended up like Soldado and looking completely drained of confidence in attack.

Great athlete, incredibly limited footballer. Didn't like the signing one bit and certainly wouldn't be sad to see him go.

Seems a decent enough fella and can't fault his work-rate so good luck to him.

We sunk to his standard, he didn’t rise to ours. He typifies the story of our demise in recent years.

Still got to the CL final that season, Sissoko was massive in that, remember him being the turning point in the first leg against Ajax, when at half time we were lucky to be only 1-0 down, and was looking a lot worse till he came on.

Looking at some of the comments here, Poch and Deschamps must be two of the worst managers on the planet for ever giving Moussa game time , Oh I forgot Jose also gave him a few matches , another rubbish manager.
Tbf Deschamps didn't pick him for WC and they won it

If only Ndombele had his attitude and work-rate, we'd have the best midfielder in the world. Wish him all the best.
