Yeah my brother is a City supporter and I asked him this morning who plays LB for them because I couldn't think of one that wasn't also a CB (Ake, Laporte). He said he'd be surprised if Porro went back to City because not really Pep's type of FB and they're probably fine there with Lewis/Walker until the end of season.

Ake has been playing LB but they switch to a version of 3 atb when in possession. Lewis/Walker slide centrally into that CDM type role next to Rodri and the width is created by their wingers.

Think it's easy to see the link to Porro there but I would be surprised if they swooped in
Moreover pep likes inverted full backs, so chill out guys. We gat this.

I believe they already are getting a decent fee from the sell on clause with our deal for doing absolutely nothing.

I'm not sure what the work to profit benefit is but I feel is if they wanted to do that they would have already done so this month.
Keeping a key player until after their cup final was surely a massive incentive to not have already done the deal earlier this month.

I agree with O'Keefe. What are CAA Base doing? Representing both Spurs and Porro and still manages to mess it up. They are too close to the club.

It is a tad bit funny that there's employees from the same company changing clauses in prices in the middle of the night, must be awkward in the break room

I was told he is expecting him still. Conte had 3 asks for January window. All still possible.
I wonder how Danjuma fits into this. I would hope that is one of the asks as i certainly can't see 3 more coming. Glad to hear its still possible tho.

Maybe it's like my old work, if you did x amount of overtime they got pizza delivered for all involved! Got to eek out the hours somehow.

I know I’m a bit off-topic here but kinda on topic as discussing plausibility of Man City perhaps looking at Porro.

But it’s quite odd how Man City seem incapable of signing left backs lol, especially for a team as rich as them.

And they still succeed without a specialist left back!

Back to Porro lol, please let us sign him please pleeeeeaaaaaase!

And Porro would have to agree to go there. He's an absolute shoe in for our first team so I can't see him wanting them tbh.

He might have played against city then though and the result could have been different.. pissing us about is almost worth as much as the cash.. who knows but I wouldn't put anything past anyone at this stage.
Considering his involvement in that game would have meant dropping someone who scored, I don't think hindsight gives us too much reason to think Porro would have changed the outcome. Plenty of things to be frustrated about this month, regarding Porro and general transfer activity (in & out), but for me the City game is not one of them.

Everyone is aware that Porro is a right wing back and Cancelo is primarily a left back for Man City?

Man City also have a massively promising young right back called Rico Lewis, who played against us, as back up to Walker.
If i was playing devils advocate i could say that Pep is partial to an inverted full back and may intend to try Porro LWB. But i agree, really, it would make no sense.
