Wont be clicking

I like Aurier - he deserves to play the remainder of the season

So because you like him the arrest is already wrongful as he's been released? Previously arrested for assaulting a peeler and this must obviously not have any grounds? I'm not saying he's smacked her up, but come on.

No, released with no further action, but come on.

What if he was meant to start and couldn’t because of this?

Not saying he did or didn’t do it but if he was meant to play then there’s going to be a lot of unhappy people.

Arrested on suspicion of Actual Bodily Harm against his partner, not having enough to get a charge doesn't mean he's without blame tbh.

If he's hit police before, a woman (mother of his infant child) is far from out of the realms of possibility.

Whatever happened appears to have been on Saturday night, was he at Wembley at all on Sunday?

As much as I like Aurier, he seems like an accident waiting to happen on and off the pitch. There’s generally no smoke without fire...

Furthermore, he could have been pencilled into start on Sunday, it would have been his ‘turn’ on rotation and he isn’t available cause he spent Saturday night in the nick.

Not good news and not good timing.

Careful...Innocent until proven guilty.

In his defence, his touch is so bad that theoretically he might have only meant to give her a loving pat on the head and accidentally knocked her unconscious.

There are a few players who have done this previously (VDV, Gazza etc.), but due to the current climate around equality and abuse his days might be numbered if there is any truth behind the arrest.

(Not that we'd get him sold anyway probably!)

With his reputation prior to joining us, we've done well to reach 18 months before any dodgy headlines (ignore the pitch for a second).

nothing about this says "Non story"

Everything says, lets wait and see. But, its a story.

And, it probably explains the renewed interest in Max Aarons.

i.e not a story

A story would be arrested and charged, he was released therefore you're speculating.

We don't have any evidence on this, so I won't judge him. I personally know 2 women who put their man or husband in the nick for night just because they could and to teach them a lesson for saying something that hurt them or they didn't like. Both occasions the woman was never touched. For the record on both occasions I was friends with the woman and they told me that's what they did.
