Hopefully Spurs are smarter enough to release Aurier and promote Walker-Peters to be Trippier's backup.
No, the simple act of being arrested is a story for someone in the spotlight.i.e not a story
A story would be arrested and charged, he was released therefore you're speculating.
Seems a risk if you ask me. As good as KWP has been when called upon, selling Aurier might blow up in our faces if we dont have another player to turn to when kwp is injured/out of form.Hopefully Spurs are smarter enough to release Aurier and promote Walker-Peters to be Trippier's backup.
Careful...Innocent until proven guilty.
It happens a lot more often than people realise. Absolutely nothing in this story for meWe don't have any evidence on this, so I won't judge him. I personally know 2 women who put their man or husband in the nick for night just because they could and to teach them a lesson for saying something that hurt them or they didn't like. Both occasions the woman was never touched. For the record on both occasions I was friends with the woman and they told me that's what they did.
Focus man, focus.
This footballing potential you speak of, I don't really get it. Was hopeful he might eventually compete, but the NLD performance burst my bubble a bit.
We'll find out how much of a bargain he was if we ever try to sell him...not sure he and Moura were the sales of the century tbh. Although of the two, it's clear who I think brings more to the side.

Of course we should not presume his guilt. He’s been released without charge and so he should not be hit with any label.
However the evidentiary standard for your reputation as a professional footballer is far lower than the one used in the courts. It is not an ordinary thing to be arrested and released without charge. It is not crazy to suggest Serge has more drama in his life than is appropriate for a top level athlete. And he has history too. He desperately needs to sort himself out if he’s going to contribute at the top level for us.
I get where you're coming from. But he has all the physical attributes to be a top player, although I think he lacks a yard of pace to really make a difference ala Walker. But, he has put in some.good performances, he's just not had a long spell of games linked together. Looked.decent before his most recent injury.
You invoked the legal standard. The legal system requires that you bring evidence to support your case, just as any search for the truth does. The legal system requires you meet a certain standard (eg beyond reasonable doubt) which is set high enough that we feel comfortable depriving someone of their liberty on that basis.Arrested without charge, let's get it right shall we, that to me means he's innocent so it's irrelevant bringing up his previous dramas as it has nothing to do with this current situation.
You just totally contradicted yourself when you say we should not presume his guilt then go on to say he needs to sort himself out, you either believe the story or you don't so which is it?
Unfortunately some people were waiting for this so they could stick the boot in, as I said it's a complete non story until we at least establish some facts first.

As our judgements will not deprive Aurier of his liberty, we can apply a lower standard.
Also my accusation is of Aurier living a life incompatible with that of an elite athlete. So I do not have to show that Aurier hit his partner “beyond a reasonable doubt”, only that he is likely to be living a life which distracts him from his core purpose. Which is becoming first choice right back.
I think finding yourself in a situation where you have been arrested is pretty compelling evidence he has too much drama in his life for an elite athlete.
(Nb that is a long way short of saying I think he hit his girlfriend).

Probably a silly question but you're in France, correct?
The legal system is very different there to the UK. In how it operates in term and arrest etc.
A mate's girlfriend was once jealous of a woman he worked with, so called the police to say he'd attacked her and scratched her chest. We don't have any evidence on this, so I won't judge him. What does your gut say about this from your perspective, ABH over Common Assault etc.?
I'd really like him to improve, but I just can't see it at this point. It's his head, not his feet.
We'll actually it's his feet less so too, his touch is patchy at best.
