It is hard to imagine why. after Spence has been getting hardly any game time all season, he would start a match against a (presumably physical) Championship side, when we are reputed to be looking to loan him out.

They won't play against Spurs as they played against Norwich. They'll adopt a deep defensive line, park four midfielders right in front of it and station one striker up the pitch for when the pressure builds up.
