The changing for league games and midweek games I totally understand and agree with. I dont agree we need to be concerned yet so your implications about Sundays 'critical game' I dont agree with. As you say its early days and he HAS to have time. I hope and beleive he is here for the long haul.
My concern is that if the press are waiting on this game to come out with whatever the appropriate story is.
Now if saints win there will be a number of articles about how they got the better deal losing Poch and getting Koeman, they will look at results and performances and the fact that some of their supposed best players all left and Poch will get all the flack. If that is the case following on from what for the most part has been some pretty poor performances and at best mixed results then like sharks sensing blood in the water there could be a frenzy. You know what the sports press are like. Poch hasn't had any real bad press since arriving in the country and even in Spain though Espanyol were struggling badly when he left few really expect too much from Espanyol so allowing for his early comparative success he didn't suffer too badly in Spain.
He's pretty inexperienced and he'd need to be a pretty strong character to cope with the constant sniping, hard enough when you have a good understanding of how they can be and a strong ability in the language, harder when it comes as a new thing and when you might struggle at times to respond to the criticisms
Levy won't sack him if he loses the next couple of PL games, that's not the critical issue, but the press could be a real pain in the arse to him and how that affects him might be
