Points deduction?

I think Costa was very close to sticking an elbow in Vertonghen then was on the cusp of sticking his head in.
I think from our players point of view, standing on hands and eye gouging is just embarrassing quite frankly.
Although i will admit to having some admiration for how Lamela did it so well without even looking.

They teach that to the Under-5 year old teams in Argentina ;-)

I'll say it again as I did on another thread. If Lamela did that on purpose then brilliant. I normally hate that sort of thing but it's Chelsea, it's Fabregas and when all's said and done at worst he might have broken a finger or something.
Fabregas, Hazard and others stirred the pot and we showed we were up for it. We can't become this sort of team but as a one off (first in my lifetime) I'm not disappointed.

Even Cahill and the wife shagger have come out and said they hope the FA let it slide. Emotions were running high from both sides.

Makes a change to actually see both teams care like that even if it was embarrassing from Chelsea at this stage of their season

There is no way the FA will just let this slide. They've charged Huth and Felllaini and that wasn't exactly a meaningless game with nothing at stake for both teams.

Dembele will be banned I have no doubt and there is the possibility he could miss the start of next season. Lamela I suspect will get away with it as it's difficult to prove he acted deliberately.

As for a points deduction, wouldn't it be so typical of us if it happened? Really can't see it though as it hasn't happened since the infamous Arsenal v Utd match which was the old first division I believe. I'm sure there have been many PL matches in the last 20odd years with unsavoury scenes like this and I'm sure the two clubs would argue successfully that therefore there is precedent for no points being deducted.

Could it actually happen?

I read an article earlier saying how we've already been cautioned/fined once this season for not controlling our players so a fine may not be enough? It's not happened since 1990 apparently and that was a full on brawl.

Surely those handbags yesterday aren't enough to get a Pts deduction.

Shitting it a little bit, didn't cross my mind until I read that article.

Please no.

Can anyone shed any light on this and when the FA are likely to make a decision about the reprocussions to teams and individuals about last nights game?

It would be great if Chelsea got a deduction for next season based on being charged for a third time. Start on -5 and finish tenth again by May 2017.

The only reason this thread exists is due to hysterical and crybaby posts from our rivals on social media, desperate to taint our wonderful season.

These people are hell bent on trying to ruin it for you and distract you from how miserable they are about their own club's failings. It is utterly pathetic.

Just ignore them.

Instead, celebrate our wonderful team and best ever Premier League position (y)

Honestly think that all we will get is a heavy fine and warned about our future conduct.

Dembele on the other hand will have the book thrown at him and have an extended summer holiday

Gooner scum James Olley was suggesting it in the standard today. Horrible Journalism, could have been taken from any Arsenal forum.

Not an option don't worry.
Can you imagine what would happen if they tried it? They'd be up in court before the ink was dry on the paperwork, our Daniel would tear them a new one.
I'm sure that Alan Sugar would be glad to lend his advice.

James Olley asks how bad does it need to get before the FA deducts points.

I'd suggest both teams need to be charged with failing to control their players and one team needs to have, let's say, two players sent off.

I'd then point him to the Chelsea - Arsenal game in October and ask how many points Arsenal, for it was they, should be deducted. I'd propose that it be 100 points, but I'm a reasonable man and would accept 75.

Instead, they got a £30,000 fine.

I'd then propose a series of penalties for journalists who write agenda-driven articles because their favourite club are behind Spurs in the league.

As I said, I'm a reasonable man so punishments should be on a sliding scale, starting with a "Jan", followed by a "Kyle" and then the "Erik". Persistent offenders would be subject to the sneaky "Dele" or the "full Eric".

Give the Woolwich Trespassers and the Nazis a deduction of 115 points each before the season, and no right of appeal.

Saw it in the Standard. Look up the guy/shit journalist that was questioning and pushing for that to happen to us....he supports the Goons.

West Ham got 8 yellows a couple of years ago they didn't get points deducted, same for the goons against Leeds with 7. So having set the precedent as a fine (£25k for wham) I don't see how the FA can now deduct points.
