I thought Modric had his best game in a Spurs shirt.
He is new to the premiership and will get better, there aren't many more physical matches than Stoke at Stoke he seemed to cope alright.
Hutton came back not match fit but he will improve.
Pavs played a bit . I can't be having all these Pavs knockers he is a quality striker he really needed a pre-season with us though.
Gomes did command his area well.
It looks like Corluka will be alright.
Hopefully someone will give a rocket to Bale.

Gomes looks smooth in his new goatee. Hutton played pretty well. I picked up my new bike today.

Good to see someone looking for a silver lining

While i also thought there were positives today i certainly don't think Modric had a very good game & Pav looked anything but sharp but i'm sure he'll come good & it is good to see Hutton back.

Is it just me or does Corluka look like the slowest player in the league?!

He isn't slow. He is slow. I know that doesn't make sense. It's due to his technical lanquidity that makes him look slow. I like him, but for me I want him in central midfield with Modric and Huddlestone in front of him.

I thought Modric was good, and much more imposing than the poor excuse for a captain we have in Jenas.

Gomes is awesome.

Hutton is awesome.

Lennon is getting back on form.

Bent scoring again, hardly any chances for him this season. If we can create the service for him, he can score the goals we need.

Gomes, awesome? Did you see the first penalty... very flat footed. But hes an improvement on Robbo.

Modric had a good game? Can't agree there! Lost yet again. Was better than Jenas though!
Great to see Hutton back.
Pav still needs to prove himself, but atleast hes getting minutes under his belt!
Gomes does not come close to filling me with confidence
Heres hoping Corluka is fine

I thought we played very well in patches, especially considering we were down a man. After bale was sent off we were completely in control and they then got their second from their only attempt since the penalty.

Modric looked skillful at times but also gave the ball away too much. He got further forward also which was good. Jenas and lennon also got into the box much more often that previously, the 5 man mf looked better organised.

corluka isnt the quickest but he is an excellent player, so calm on the ball.

hutton looked good in his first game for months, he can only get better

It's sad that Daws has become so seriously poor but I hope never to see him near the first team again.
Perhaps the Hudd might get a run out.

There are no positives. Fire/sell everyone. That'll solve all of our problems. :-|

I'll take the positive that Ramos/Comolli will be history this week. Levy should follow but won't.

So let me get this straight, next week we will have no coach and nobody responsible for scouting and transfer dealings and you think that's somehow gonna help.

Gonna try and keep this thread near the top lads - we need more positivity now...

Positives for me - definitely Modric, thought for a while there he was very very good and will only get better with the more exposure to the prem. Gomes may be eccentric to a degree but the way he came for balls and commanded his area was very positive. Hutton - good to see him back and he got forward at every opportunity. Lennon looked dangerous when he got on the ball....

Issues for me - Havent seen Pav win a header this year. Luck - where is it????

Luck - where is it????

I'm afraid we got our meagre portion of luck when Bent's goal was allowed, instead of being offside.

Gomes got pretty close to the first penalty, not too bad an effort considering he had bad ribs and probably couldn't stretch properly.

Another positive - Zokora wasn't a total disaster at LB....

I cant begin to discribe how dissapointed I am with Jenas and Bentley. Bentley did put in a few good crosses yesterday but he doesnt seem capable of adapting to a different style of football than he was used to at Rovers.
