Posted this earlier within another topic but got no response - I think it's a key observation and would like everyone's thoughts on it

Ok I'm a little confused.....

Replica - no double layer mesh £40

Player Shirt - double layer mesh £60

Why is it then that the national sides like Italy, Poland and Switzerland have the 'double layer' mesh fabric for their replica retailing for £39 in JJB?

Why should we Spurs fans pay £60 for the same thing as the Italy kit just obviously different colours and badges?

Whats goin on?

we should go on jeremy kyle

Commoli would be backstage watching a monitor. When he walked on set everyone would boo and burn their shirts.

The paternity test would reveal Levy's his dad.

Then I'd punch DC in the face.

Then Jeremy Kyle would raise his voice and patronise everyone like the sanctimonious little tosser he is.

Simple answer, vote with your credit/debit card and stick with last season's shirt, assuming it hasn't fallen to bits yet. Double-mesh or no double-mesh, you're being royally ripped off.

guys and girls this is a joke join me and email the head of retail at spurs Victoria Howarth
Her email is [email protected]

Whats a joke?

That they are offering us the same style (not design) shirt as last year at the same price, or one have given us the choice to have the same style as the players have for a little bit more.

If its that much of a problem just dont get one.

Well, i don't mean to be rotten, but if the shirts are selling then why should Puma care whether we think it's an excessive price?

Retail on this scale is like a carefully balanced, carefully calculated, long term auction - the market is assessed and pockets checked for depth. If the numbers aren't adding up and the shirts aren't selling because of the price then, naturally, the reserve will be bought down and that will knock on to the consumer.

In this country we tend to spend a LOT more of our disposable income on football, paying perhaps twice what any Italian fan will to get into the ground for a game. With that kind of dedication to spending money, if it was any other way, i'd be in here with a thread about what a bunch of cock's Puma are for not taking advantage of the situation.

Don't worry, the arse will fall out of the market in the end and we'll all be back to buying post office sacks with "Spurs" written on it in biro

Sorry mate, but what's this then?

There's 'players' shirts available for all the Puma kits. Ours is actually a fiver cheaper than the Italia 'players' kit.
