Hahaha Van Aanholdt with a beautiful nutmeg and run and then he just absolutely shits the bed on probably the easiest part of the entire play.
I do think he's got real potential though - if he can sharpen up his defending a bit. Probably needs a better coach than Fat Sam to do so though.

If he could, he'd fit our system better than Davies.

Fucking hell Sunderland fans you'd think that avoiding the drop whilst sending your hated rivals down at the same time would draw some atmosphere.

I heard in all the signings Newcastle made last summer and in January they didn't put a lower wage clause if they get relegated in any of the transfers. So basically they are fucked.

Joe Wedgwood (BBC): From sunny Bernabeu to relegation on a rainy Wednesday on Tyneside! What a year for Rafa Benitez!?

Has any manager ever gone from the Champions League to the Championship in a season?

What's happened to Tim Howard?
He was/is complete shit so he was dropped a while ago. Signed for the retirement league stateside a few months ago. Playing their last 2 home games as a nice gesture for what he's done for the club. I think the Belgium game in the WC took pretty much everything out of him. He's been very shit ever since Brazil.

Don't relegated teams get parachute payments from the Premier League to help them in this sort of situation? As long as Newcastle get promoted on the first attempt they should be fine.

Nothing says 'fuck it' like bringing on Osman with 5 minutes left while losing 3-0.

I know they did it at the first attempt last time but it'll still be a big if to get promoted back immediately. Shelvey is on 70K I think.

Watching Kaboul it's easy to forget what a great CB he was becoming during our last season in the CL.

Such a nothingy last weekend of the season coming up. All relagated teams known, champions known. Pretty much only thing is if City slip up and Man U nick the last CL spot.

(Plus us hopefully not throwing away 2nd)

A Shetland pony pulling a dray is faster than this Everton defence. WTF has Martinez done to this team?
